Using real butter so was just pulling the bread apart. None of this vitalite ****e you southerners live on.
it lives on a plate next to fridge, just ****e soft bread the Mrs got from Aldi. If it’s in the fridge I use a speedy peeler to cut thin strips. it’s not my first rodeo.
The best way to spread butter that's been kept in the fridge is not to put it in there in the first place.
Pure lies a out leaving it on a plate next to the fridge. Butter is softer than any bread at room temp.
It's one thing I like about Olive spread, which is what I use, it tends to be softer and easier to spread.
Not a big fan of the spreads tbh, but I keep my butter in the cupboard where it's always spreadable. I don't get the logic of keeping it in the fridge and then using a peeler to peel slices off. It's like somebody saying they keep their milk in the freezer and chisel bits off and let it defrost when they need to make a cuppa
