I think VAR is used wrong anyway, why is the decision of it's use lay with the ref or the off field ref, it should be down to the team and they get two appeals during a match, then and only then is it looked at, and a decision made - which can go for or against, it's down to the team manager to play the odds.

 

In fairness rule 13.6c clearly states:

"If they are gooners **** em"
