No children in this country should go hungry. That is disgraceful. I can understand there are certain reasons ( for some) but for the majority it is unacceptable.
People have gone hungry under various governments.
My point earlier is that we don't need to be wasting money on idiots super gluing themselves to a road... We waste enough money without them adding to it.

I've probably said this before, but the suffragettes demonstrated by chaining themselves to the railings outside Parliament. It did not hinder the public going about their daily business. And if there was risk, the risk was to themselves. Hunger strikes in prison, Davidson throwing herself under the King's horse etc

Compare this to Insulate Britain whose whole purpose is to make the public's lives as difficult as possible. Even if this means putting them in danger by stopping ambulances, or people driving a relative to A & E. I heard one of these low life's say on the radio she didn't care if people died, she was doing this for her own children.

Spot on mate. I heard the same disgusting comments. It's just this weeks colour orange. The same people that were connected to those Extinction wasters.
Never had a problem with demonstrations or people talking about important issues but as you have said there are ways to do it.

It’s pretty obvious, point out the worst aspects of current protests, convince people they are taking money out of peoples pockets, even though in the scheme of it, in comparison to other money spent it’s a drop in the ocean and certain areas of media and political leanings and businesses get a multitude of wins.

Easier to erode rights to protest and turn the public against environmental issues. Most protest gets ignored, the only protests that gets a lot of public coverage are somewhat controversial this included the suffragettes, some of who causes disruption, property damage and violent clashes with police.

I’m not suggesting I agree with insulate Britain’s approach, I believe it was naive and there were better approaches however I don’t totally disagree with disruption as a method to draw attention to their cause.

The simple truth is it doesn’t matter how people protest, those who they protest against will always find a way, an angle to undermine the protest.

I wouldn't jump on this too soon as there are plenty of People from EU countries who can't get home. Macon and France have done what the French do best. This latest stunt reminds me of the Maginot line... All show and will fall to bits in a week.

Good for them taking control of their borders.

It’s a joke of a stance from a ridiculous comic.

Shame they couldn't stop the 30k dinghy mob. They only control their boarders when it suits them.

Yeah. Mad how they can do what they want and be part of the EU. Who knew?

Could you imagine the gammon rage if it was the other way round and we stopped migrants from sailing to France?

Why is it acceptable to use the term ‘gammon’?

    Because it's shorter than .....

'Angry, red-faced, white, male, right-wing, bloodthirsty, knuckle-dragging, Brexit-loving, foaming-at-the-mouth, racist, sexist, warmongering, bring-back-public-executions, selfish, ‘old-school’, WWII-romanticising, finger-wagging, obnoxious, ‘telling it how it is’, xenophobic, trigger-happy, Daily Mail-reading, Empire-loving, destructive, negative, genocidal, pig-headed, short-sighted, boorish, nuke-dropping, fox hunting, flag-wearing, dick-waving, politically incorrect, mansplaining, EU-hating, white supremacist, male supremacist, homophobic, gung-ho, ‘silent majority’, loud-mouthed arsehole.'

Not my own, but quite good, I think.

I guess you would, Stropper. Thank goodness the term doesn’t seek to stereotype, generalise or discriminate against a group a ‘whites’ with whom you might disagree, eh?

I never suggested they were oppressed. It’s just an abusive term used against those with a different point of view as a way of stereotypical ridicule. Much easier than engaging in a discussion.

Happy New Year to you too, you fetid bell-end. :)

But it does that to people who so easily rise above such mockery, and routinely deride people who ‘take offence’ too easily as snowflakes. So gammons surely just wink knowingly at each other and move on. Rather than bleat like thin skinned big girls blouses. For example.

You, of course, aren’t a gammon. Just an ornery old twat.

Well, I’ve never bleated before, although there was that one girl that made me cry like a baby.

No, I’m not a gammon; more like a rancid piece of pork loin.

    Happy New Year, Ginge. :)
