Took BBC Text 7 minutes to mention Wayne Rooney in his capacity as being manager of Derby County.......

From beeb text...

Post update
Derby 1-0 West Brom

That goal has given the home team and their fans a real boost.

The Rams have taken points off the top two in the past few weeks so they do have a good recent record against the promotion hopefuls.

Except against us........<party>

Rooney is doing well at Derby.
Really got them fighting with a lot of youngsters.

Fair dues to WRDC, only 3 attempts on goal all game but manage to beat Baggies 1-0........

Baggies had 19 attempts and 5 on target but can't score a goal for love or money at the moment........

I’m not usually inclined to feel sorry for top flight footballers, but the schedule this holiday season is insane.

Is it any different to how it has always been, with the added bonus of most teams missing a game or two when they fancy a Covid break? All these managers moaning are welcome to move to another league.

I just looked at our 1975-76 fixtures out of curiosity and was a bit surprised.....

20 December 1975 Liverpool A 0–2 39,182
26 December 1975 Norwich City H 2–0 Masson, Bowles 21,774
27 December 1975 Arsenal A 0–2 39,021
10 January 1976 Manchester United A 1–2 Givens 58,312

So we played two in two days and then nothing for a fortnight, apart from an FA Cup game.
