All types of bets allowed- except place only!
Anyone wishing to add a commentary - after bets are struck- would be appreciated. My commentary will follow later.
NB. Any member not included can be supplemented and allocated a horse.

FORM GUIDE.
TOPPER. Horse and jockey are the oldest in the race and, as geldings, must carry the extra 2 lbs. Their banter will stay the distance though, and just may be surprise winners!
TRIGGER. Always liable to have one or two tricks up his sleeve, this enigmatic Group 9 contender cannot be ruled out. His rider’s vast experience on dirt tracks will stand him in good stead.
FURY. Big money winner, but will his naturalised Kraut jockey take this race seriously- and will he withstand the ruthless verbals in the back straight?
MY FRIEND FLICKA. Ideal temperament for this race, but his jockey is carrying overweight- supports Preston and this alone must make him a long odds outsider!
SILVER. Established performer in this grade, but can he act on the going? His jockey will compete at
every level though, and will not be shouted down by any jockey .
MISTER ED. The racing public feel this jockey booking is unfair- the horse can talk as well as the rider, even if every other word is “Nicky this, Nicky that!” Odds on at present, but odds ons don’t always win!
HIDALGO. Strong second favourite. All distances up “to the death” pose no problem- likewise the going. Ideal jockey booking, but is he ruthless enough in a finish?
BLACK BEAUTY. Best looking horse in the race, but has he recovered from the hiding he got in the film? His rider has more experience than most, though, and he argues well! Good prospects.
SUMMARY. Mister Ed will, as usual,set a fast pace and his rider’s experience of ‘taking the nicky’ is invaluable. Yet will Trigger and Silver cut him up on the final bend? Hidalgo’s proven stamina must come to the fore, but don’t underestimate Topper- his rider's a wily old character!
