https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59732905 Premier League: Clubs to fulfil fixture list despite Covid-19 disruption Hilarious: Liverpool drew at Tottenham without a number of first-team names After Sunday's draw at Spurs, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said playing on 26 and 28 December was not feasible. "It's impossible, we don't have the players," Klopp said. "We have to think we will get an extra case or two. We cannot just push it all through. The 26th and 28th, that's not possible. We would prefer to play but we need help with the fixtures."
Of course if one looks at the fixtures, Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea get an extra day between games because, well because they are Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea
Whereas Spurs had a couple of weeks off to get over COVID cases, do testing and come back refreshed for Liverpool, who had a number of absentees. Hard done by indeed.
So did we!! Starting teams They were missing Van Dyke, Henderson, Fabinho and I will be generous Thiago from their 'first XI' We were without Romero, Regullion, Skipp, Hojbjerg, and Lucas from our 'First XI' So the absentees were spread between both teams - not that this has been reported.
You had a two week break though. My comment (in context) was in response to a claim that certain teams were unfairly getting an extra day’s break. This ongoing situation is going to affect teams and it will be down to good or bad luck. So far, I don’t think Spurs fans could complain that the break gained you an advantage over Liverpool, who have been playing regularly and had some key players absent. That was evident watching the game. Further down the line with fixture congestion, there may be a flip side. But as of now, Spurs have come up smelling of roses whatever the perception about the “favourable” treatment of other clubs.
We played missing 3 players and with others who haven't trained properly due to having covid . The idea we benefitted is absurd...funny but still absurd. And it doesn't negate that some teams are having their Xmas games spread over a longer period. This was a conscious decision by the TV companies enforced on teams dnd each season some teams are disadvantaged because of it ...catching covid is not a choice of anyone. And God knows how having to fit in 3 league games in is "coming up smelling of roses".
Scheduling isn't luck, though. Going into the game having suffered a covid outbreak and not having played any football for weeks wasn't good, either. Both teams had key players missing, too.
Apart from the fact that 3/4 of the posters weren't around in 1974, so it won't be taking them back. I'm in the 1/4
Benjamin Mendy has another charge of rape against him, taking it up to seven counts of rape and a sexual assault charge which relate to five women.
Dirty disgusting depraved excuse for a human being. Should be behind bars for a long time but knowing our pathetic justice system, will probably be out in a couple of years.
Assuming he's guilty (which with so many charges it feels tough believing he won't be) then I think even with our shoddy justice system he's looking at a long time behind bars.
The real surprise is that The Sheikh Mansour Team haven't pretended the charges don't exist and played him regardless...
