Southampton fan in peace here. I would like to say congratulations for today .....i have always respected the way you play and mostly your fans. well done for the win against Man Utd......fully deserved for you guys with all with what you have had to put up with for the last 20 or so years. I think I can safely say you are going to be one of the biggest clubs in the world if not...the biggest club in the world. hope to see you next season in the prem RAZZYBOY97
Don't worry ciddy will **** it up.....................it's in their nature/history. . . . . .................another example of money ruining our game!!!!
Thanks for posting, the other City fan who uses the forum will be pissed so probably wont be on until tomorrow so i will say thanks from him also.
So would you be if you had a multi billionaire throwing money at you. Some clubs prefer to earn their own money and their own success. Today was just one game and a bad day at the office. Let's see how things stand come May.
That's easy to say when you have been at the top for a very long time and you have earned tens of millions in prize money for finishing top in the PL and for playing in the CL which you have invested to keep your club at the top. The rest of us outside the top 4 have had to watch this going on for years with hardly any hope of breaking into the top 4 which for many years has been like a 4 team clique. Like Chelsea we are going to have to get used to our success (or lack of it) being put down to money, all i can say is as a Manchester city supporter i am glad our owners have given us the chance to compete at a higher level than i ever dreamt would be possible and thank them for the forthcoming investment in the academy and everything else they intend to do for the club.
I was p.ssing myself.Cant wait for MOTD and watch it again. That drink must taste so sweet lads, fully deserved. Respect
You give blow jobs too.............? Your club is dead............it died when it left Moss Side, it got cremated when the council rented out to you & and all that unearned arab money is necrophelia.............. ..............your club is no more!!!! Its a quarterpounder with cheese!!!! .................death of football with ciddy dancing on everybody's grave!!!!
And to bring reality back to the precedings - You have earned and spent tens of millions over the years to keep you at the top and keep the money rolling in, don't come here and preach about money ruining football, how much did Fergy spend when he first took over the club compared to the rest of the teams, the only difference is we have done it over a shorter period of time United re-establish themselves as top of the money league with a total of £62.92m, a figure that does not include gate money from Old Trafford, merchandise sales or income from club sponsorship deals. Chelsea have also broken the £60m mark, while Liverpool's run to the Champions League final will see them bring in at least £54.7m, with a further £2m should they beat AC Milan in next week's final in Athens. Arsenal's failure to reach the quarter-finals of Europe's top club competition cost them several millions, but their total figure of £44.14m is still £14m more than north London rivals Spurs, who earned a total of £30.55m - their Uefa Cup earnings over £11m less than Arsenal's European income. Relegated Watford were the Premiership's lowest earners, bringing in £17.98m. In the money ............Premiership (£).Europe........Cups........Total ManUtd......30.58m.......28.9m........2.95m........62.92m** Chelsea......30.97m.......26.4m........3.27m........60.15m** Liverpool.....28.44m......26.0m........0.27m........54.71m* Arsenal.......28.60m......13.90m.......1.63m........44.14m * An extra £2million if win Champions League ** An extra £1million to FA Cup final winners Premier League earnings: Prize money (max £9.7m, min £487,000); TV cash (£8.9million per club plus £340,000 or £250,000 for each live Sky game, depending on timing and whether PPV game); Overseas TV, sponsorship and licensing money (£4.02m per club). European: Champions League earnings (TV money and performance bonuses); Uefa Cup (TV money and peformance bonuses) FA Cup: Prize money (£40,000 for third round win rising to £1m final win); TV money (£150,00 to £265,000 per live match). Carling Cup: £100,000 for clubs in a live televised match.
Manure "fans" crying about someone else spending money,oh the ironing!! Maybe when our owner starts selling condemmed meat to Manchester school children will we be seen as earning our money.
