Can false messiah Pep blame corona in the event Citeh do not win that game ?? Confirmation test says : inconclusive.
You misunderstand, Alfie. Diego's argument is that we should sympathise with the fact that a team who spent £280m on attacking players is struggling to score goals. Thoughts and prayers.
Abramovich has bought, er, I mean, been given Portuguese citizenship: https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/s...ovich-gets-portuguese-citizenship-2021-12-18/
Ignoring the fact they conceded 7 the other day, Meslier looks a real good keeper in the making. Currently keeping Leeds in the game against Arsenal. French U21 keeper, wouldn’t be a terrible option to look at Hugo’s long term heir - both for club and country I guess.
Leeds are terrible. Bielsa like Rangnick is admired by coaches and has good ideas but ultimately not a top tier manager.
He's an excellent coach and a visionary, of sorts, but he's not suited to the modern game. He thrives with a small, dedicated squad that works their arses off in every match. You can't have both of those things in the current Premier League or people drop like flies.
Yeah he’s run this squad into the ground and they injuries have destroyed them. Back to back routs, he must be close to the sack as they will get relegated unless they change something.
I think it's between the four that are already down there, but January could be key. If Newcastle can bring in enough players to make a difference, then Leeds could drop into it.
Norwich for sure, then two from Watford, Newcastle, Burnley and Leeds. I’m not so sure Newcastle will get out of trouble. They need a huge turnaround and is Eddie Howe the right man to keep them up? Watford and Burnley will have multiple games in hand on Leeds so could close the gap.
Leeds’ squad is generally pretty ****, it’s testament to Bielsa they done as well as they did last season but just like Sheff Utd, that wave only lasts so long until the quality of player just gets found out (aka second season syndrome). They should’ve tried adding genuine quality in the summer and not spunking about £20m on Dan James. But looking at that squad, how many of those players are genuinely top tier worthy? Phillips is probably the only player right now who could play for a top six side, Raphinha and Bamford could probably play for top ten sides and Meslier has the potential to go quite far I’d say, whilst Gelhardt also looks promising but years away from being a finished article. Other than that I don’t think there’s any more legitimate Prem quality players, the rest are solid Championship ones - and they could be back playing there next season.
