What Baz has said...

There remains a hope from Acun and his team that completion will be done before Christmas. I think we have to be mindful that as much as they're pushing for that, there's a realistic change that it won't happen between now and next Saturday.

I understand plans are being put in place should it be completed in the next few days. Acun has been in London over the past couple of days as well as jetting to all corners of the globe - honestly, I don't know how the chap does it, you think Santa Claus covers some miles, you should see his flight map - members of his team have been in England for the past week in a bid to try and progress things, while holding meetings with various people inside and outside the club.

We're getting so very close and I know everybody is desperate for news - or a club statement - but these deals can often take a frustrating amount of time to get them signed and sealed. As I understand it and to allay any fears, everything remains on track.

Acun is now in Mexico City, the amount of travelling he does is mad. I’m convinced he doesn’t sleep.

Clearly not a huge environmentalist then? If he continues flying around at this rate he'll be able to canoe along Anlaby Rd to his first home game, after the Humber has burst it's banks...

Indeed, I have a 500,000 Lira note, as it's now 22 to the Pound it's yours for a bargain price of £1000. :emoticon-0100-smile
I was in Istanbul in 2000 the taxi meters used to scare me to death they clicked ever skyward and it was difficult to do the dollar conversion with so many zeros flying around. I could never tell what the final cost was going to be. Being a Yorkshireman thru and thru many times I wanted to stop the cab and limit the fare

I once ****ed up in eastern europe, by assuming the money I had were the pounds, when in reality they were the pennies. Trying to explain to the petrol pump attendant they need to turn the machine to suck was a challenge. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Was in Turkey well over 30 years ago. Walking down a red hot road to the beach over a mile away. A taxi pulls up and the driver beckons us in. We tell him where to and when we got there tried to pay. He wouldn’t take any money and said he was going to the beach anyway. After a long conversation I eventually managed to persuade him to take the tip for petrol money.
