It really doesnt matter if it was a protest vote or not, its all about the result and the message it sends.

“Labour has no leadership” :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm that has made me laugh.
On another thing re Labour. Listening to some of the comments of voters on the tv today, it really does surprise me why they would want to be ‘bitches’ for the Limps. Where are their principles? Two very different parties and manifestos. You fight your corner and vote for your party. It really does say so much about Labour under Captain Hindsight.
Limps enjoying day in the sun.
    Tory licking wounds
Labour.... Have overtake the Limps as the irrelevant party.

I’d be more concerned about UKIP, Reform and Reclaim nicking 6% of the vote rather than Labour’s result in inbred farming country if I were you.

They seem to go out of their way to look as incompetent as possible

The honesty and integrity of these people is non existent. So when Case was appointed, he knew himself that he had broken the rules yet carried on as if he would investigate without bias. Oh my days, it just gets worse. If it wasnt so tragic it would be hilarious.

Part of me thinks they are just seeing how far they can push it and laugh at the people who continue to defend them blindly. I struggle to believe anyone can be as incompetent as the actions of our current pm suggest is possible.

It's good that the Tories are starting to clean up their act as of today.
Simon Case did the right thing. Saves it coming back to haunt them at a later stage
Although... You could make it up.

They are a joke Wills and everyone now sees it. The fact that Simon Case was continuing in his investigation up until he got caught, its just yet another example of their corrupt, cheating ways.

Very embarrassing even for those who try to defend their actions. Very desperate and embarrassing.

I can only assume Boris alone (possibly after taking Carrie's advice) decided on the Case appointment and since Boris doesn't do detail, he didn't do due diligence on Case to make sure there were no conflicts or other obstacles to prevent him carrying out an independent Xmas party review.

If this is the case, someone needs to tell the prime minister that unless he agrees to the appoitment of a dull, pedantic, thorough, stickler for rules to run 10 Downing St, then "no confidence" emails will be sent in numbers over the Xmas period.

Why should these ****s be allowed to mark their own homework anyway? The plebs fined £10k weren’t able to run their own inquiries.

I was listening to some old Tory heads last night and they were saying Boris can sort this out but he needs to cut out all these gaffs. as I said recently they are in a difficult position because he is a winner and no matter what 5-6 people say on here he is still popular with the Tories. It may be a risk to get in a Sunak or Truss however he can’t keep cocking up with all these unnecessary incidents, because some good work is going on behind the scenes in this country, yet a party overshadows the new satellite launch. Stupid.

He needs a fixer. I dislike Alastair Campbell intensely but he did a job for Blair before it all went down the toilet with Iraq. The worry is if Boris has a wife that is constantly whispering in his ear that he is all powerful and doesn't have to listen to anyone.
