Well the delay is frustrating and to cap it all Covid has reared its ugly head. While not probably not affecting the deal direclty it may well lead to a postponment of at the least games as is the case in the Premier league to perhaps at worst a postponent of the season and potential income for the new owners. It beggars belief that only 66% (feel free to correct if wrong) of premier league players are vacccinated. Cant understand their logic putting at risk their incredible salaries. The players have a lot invested in staying fit and healthy why wouid they not get vaccinated? Genuine ? feel free to discuss. Should at least add to the total posts on this thread so that the magic 1500 is reached. Better than puns maybe?
I found that figure a bit alarming. I guess as they're young and healthy they don't see covid as much of a risk?
Let's be fair, pro footballers aren't normally the most switched on and intelligent folk. Also the vast majority are in the younger age groups and it's the younger age groups that seem to be the most resistant ( from what I've come across anyway )
Well maybe not of dying like the rest of us old farts. But its their livelyhood that is at risk. Yes many have no ill effects after infection but others show significant long term effects; why would you want to put your million dollar salary at risk.
Didn"t Docherty have a case it seems to have taken him quite a long time to get back to his previous form?
Wilks has had long covid too according to McCann. I'd be more inclined to get jabbed just to protect my family. Most footballers would probably have vulnerable family members surely?
Bayern Munich have started suspending the wages of any players who have to isolate due to being unvaccinated. Five players so far.
