If I thought 400 was enough for an innings defeat then 470 odd definitely is..... What do we reckon 3, 4 or 5 down tonight?
Think it's safe to that that was Australia's day again...... 83 added in 10 overs after tea.... one day mode, to set up declaration..... At least the forecast is scheduled to be a bit cooler tomorrow, just 29 degrees and then if we get to Sunday down to low 20's, just like a summer day here...... not sure it'll get that far though.....
Anderson has been a brilliant bowler for England. A more than worthy player for any country. His record speaks for itself. Keep in mind, the best bowlers are the ones who can keep getting wickets when the rest of the team aren't. He would be a certainty in any team. I must admit we have had more luck than an Irishman ........... and then some. That's the joy and sorrow of Ashes cricket. The Aussies are well placed but England may come back................. they just need some luck, which they have been devoid of. The Aussies will make them fight for it though.
England have absolutely been very unlucky. However, imo there's a gulf in class between the two sides at test level in all aspects.
That session was always going to be a nightmare for England's batters, so to escape with only two down (albeit thanks to the rain) isn't so bad really. Now all we have to do is bat all day tomorrow to save the follow-on! What's the weather forecast like?
