I’ve now tested positive to Covid, didn’t need to wait the 20 minutes from the lateral flow test, it went positive immediately. Feel very hot one minute and sweating my nuts of to very cold and headache like a a bad cold.
Ironic thing was my booster was due on the weekend but because I was in London for my sister in laws 50th celebrating I had to cancel.
We did say on the tubes if any of us didn’t get it then it would be a miracle. Full of pissed up or half wits not wearing mask and rammed on like sardines.

Take it steady mate. A lot of my friends/acquaintances have now had it quite mildly but some still have ongoing issues, as I do, almost a full year after contracting the virus!

Hope you make a speedy recovery mate.

I think this virus is here to stay and we are simply going to have to learn to live (or die) with it. We can't keep shutting the country down every 5 minutes when we have another surge - we can't afford it.

it is very difficult to be sensible at this moment in time... not saying you are "not" ! But in tesco it was about medium "traffic" wore mask and so did about 90% of others. Carried my water sprayer, but didnt use it !
first time I used my tester had a red line so got wife to do it ... gave me the little plastic thing and said " leave it there and look in 15 mins" over the year xyl has done about 70 tests.
Hopefully you will be OK, you need to get a full test done, and keep well clear of others although the OMICRON seems to be like the snowman .... airborne! WISHES ON A Speedy and uneventful recovery!

You've got enough ASBO's there to worry about besides getting that........<laugh><laugh>

BTW, we've just had a couple from ASBO City moved in just up the road. Seem very nice people to be honest, but we tend to cross the road when we see them - I'm no Samaritan.......<laugh>

Thanks everyone, touch wood it stays this mild. Gutted that yet another game I get to miss on Saturday though. Be nice if the club give a free code with every positive test so we can watch on Robins TV. They’ve missed a trick here I think <laugh>

Also thanks Sparky reading your comments about ASBO city brought on a coughing fit <laugh>

Help me here because I can't find ASBO City on google maps.

On the subject of the un-vaccinated I have some thoughts for the doubters like the ones in front of the B.C.Legislature in Victoria yesterday who had effigies of all of the people involved in the pandemic response complete with nooses. To me that constitutes threatening behavior, with a good amount of hatred thrown in for good measure, that deserves investigation at least. Over the years vaccines have eliminated many diseases including Polio, Measles, Leprosy and T.B. and there are probably others that I have not mentioned.

The validity of vaccines is never in doubt in my mind and a sad part of my post is that several of the supposed eradicated diseases have returned to many countries through immigration from places where vaccination against the listed items was virtually non-existent. An even sadder note is that a large proportion of the anti-vaccers are from that immigrant population who have never seen the benefit that is clearly beneficial from vaccines' and by their actions they allow the various strains to mutate freely creating havoc within those who do the right thing. Any ethnic communities that are less vaccinated need education from their young people and to heck with the old pecking order.

Stay well ROD and any others on this site and their families and friends.

A factoid on the CBC News last night highlighted the danger of Omicron comparing very badly against Delta in that it metes out it's virus on a 1:4 ratio versus 1:1. You don't need to have a degree in Mathematics to see the inherent dangers with this new variant and why it will spread so rapidly unless drastic counter measures are enacted to prevent the disaster that awaits us if we are not super careful. Stay safe one and all.

I think the concern is it gets past the vaccinations so makes you at risk to the others. Or it mutates with someone with the delta variant to become stronger. Hope my theory is wrong though.

Look Ashton, I'm neither in, nor from Cardiff. In fact I'm probably geographically nearer Jacksville. <yikes><yikes>

Now there is a real problem town (not City really). Probably more catalytic converters farmed there than sheep.........<laugh>
