Jenk is injured, so it will probably be JD. I think Santos had a good game against Marseille. He gave the ball away a bit cheaply in the 1st half, but defended his mistakes. In the 2nd half he looked every bit like a Brazilian LB, getting forward on numerous occasions. Kos and Mert are going to need to have a game every bit as good as they did on Weds.
Arsenal: Szczesny, Djourou, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Andre Santos, Song (c), Arteta, Ramsey, Walcott, Gervinho, Chamakh Rvp on bench Song captain over Ramsey meet and szczesney
That's true, but when you look at how we got our points you will see we use pillows in our fouls compared to Stoke's sledgehammers. RVP obviously needs a break and I would rather it was for this game and not one of his legs. We will still get 3 pts this afternoon.
terrible decision making from the ref for the free kick that led to stoke's goal and again a minute later to deny Chamakh a clear penalty.
I can't believe Chamakh is our second choice striker. Have been pleased with Ramsey's performance though.
if you are watching the match, or even reading arseblog's live text, you would know that the free kick that led to stoke's goal was for koscielny solidly winning a header against crouch, who had refused to jump and just fell forwards. not a foul. and directly afterwards chamakh was dragged down in the stoke box by the neck when about to head the ball. score should be 2-0 if the ref got things right
I reckon Wenger will bring on RVP and Rosicky after around 60mins if the score is still 1-1. I'm going for 3-1 Arsenal, with RVP and Ramsey scoring
