Yeah, but I like to see the top teams beaten. Personally, I’m not really bothered if we finish 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th… it’s the play-offs that matter.
Drew blanks there but we are still 5th on goal difference. W.Brom and now Blackburn are out of reach even if we win at the Blades.
What should have been a really good, competitive, F1 season is finishing in true F1 style - teams protesting, lawyers involved, stewards and race director making bizarre calls. Too many spats and stupid collisions throughout the season, could be the beginning of the end for F1, fiasco. Plus the willingness to race absolutely anywhere with money is not excused because Hamilton wears a multi coloured helmet.
What should have been the showpiece end to a competitive season descended into farce with Hamilton cruising to a win only for the safety car and whim of the race director giving Verstappen a huge advantage by his decision. F1 has plenty of previous for bizarre decisions that have cost drivers the title, this is one of the worst...
I'm still seething about the F1, hours later. Never in the history of the sport have 'some' cars been allowed to unlap themselves, and the safety car gone in on the same lap as cars unlapping themselves, because that's very clearly against the rules. Yet today, to allow Max to win, that's what happened. That result has zero credibility and Masi (the race director) royally messed up. This one is going to court, which is a dreadful end to an enthralling season.
