So there's going to be an inquiry undertaken by a senior civil servant on the issue of parties. And Boris succeeds in kicking the can down the road. Yet Starmer asks no pertinent questions - how long will it take, what is its ambit, what will be the repercussions for staff that attended? Starmer's questioning was all prepared for him - he did not think on his feet, remarkably for a barrister, but then he was hardly at the sharp end of his profession.
bob you make it sound like the country is going to burst into revolution. seriously mate go out and do some Christmas shopping as this is a non story like most of the others. The left make it sound worse than it is. The story is a year old and released now to cause damage prior to a by-election. Dominic Cummings will be out soon with his Christmas crackers about the government. More important issues out there than a Christmas party.
If it’s happening now we’re told to move on. If it happened in the past we’re told it was too long ago and no point dwelling on it.
I'm looking out of my window watching all the people screaming that they want the government out. Bricks are going through windows and the word on the street is that they won't vote Tory again... that's it.
When it comes to Starmer and his fence, the fence is more interesting. I'm no fan of Blair, but he would have had Boris Johnson on the ropes today.
And while some concentrate on a party from last year, the real work is happening behind the scenes... US overtakes Europe after Brexit liberates City of London https://www.telegraph.co.uk/busines...ng-destination-uk-financial-services-exports/ City strengthens ties with non-EU partners in post-Brexit transformation https://www.cityam.com/city-strengthens-ties-with-non-eu-partners-in-post-brexit-transformation/
Agree. I imagined Cameron in the old days how he always went in for the kill. Starmer is a 'no hoper' and for all of Boris faults people still like him over Captain Hindsight.
I think there will be a low turnout at the forthcoming by election, and yes, a move to the Lib Dems and possibly the Reform Party. So the seat is in the balance for the Tories. Boris is not known for his discipline and needs a party enforcer to stem these ridiculous gaffs.
And what's wrong with that? What do you want knife crime and murders like the Labour run London? before you knock the area... remember you live in it as well.
It exactly the opposite of a non story mate. People lost loved ones at this time, myself included who then witness no10 having a ****ing knees up. People are outraged. Its such a scummy thing to do.
I also lost loved ones. Someone very close. Plenty of politicians and people broke the rules but the fact is Boris wasn't even at the party. If you want to blame someone blame the ones that were there... if there actually was a party.
