I know where you are coming from and I certainly agree the sentiment.

As a hard nosed professional going for the league? Certainly start with your 1st team... then I am not sure how may subs are allowed?

Definitely play the first team. Fully understand that we've got injuries and it's a busy time for fixtures, but it's a cup quarter final. Okay, we all know we won't win the thing, but you've got to go for it at this stage. Plus we don't have fa cup or pizza cup games now and even managed to shoe horn a game in hand in this weekend, so we shouldn't be too stretched second half of the season. I think he'll go for it, and rightly so. And tbf if I was a first team player I'd want to play at arsenal, no reason not to play the best side available

Yeah I'd not want to risk any key players personally but can understand that if we play an out and out second string and get thrashed it could ruin young lads careers before they've started. That said our first choice could catch a hiding anyway.
As others have said though we've got a lot of games to play before we get to that game so we can only see what we have available when we get to that point.

It's tricky because no one wants to get humped 8-0 live on telly, but let's face it we aren't going to win, even with a full strength team out. I wouldn't be risking any players we can't live without so, sorry Hoffmann, Doyle, Neil, Broadhead and Stewart - you lads have to watch this on the tv
