i was one of many ignorant people who thought you'd be whipping boys this year (not that i have anything against Norwich) but you have pleasantly surprised me you've played good football due to your manager you've already over a quarter of the way to 40 points and you've played two of the top three and almost won at one of them.

so hopefully you keep this up apart from against us obviously and good luck for the rest of the season.

Many fans were 'ignorant' about the team that has been assembled by Paul Lambert. Unlike most teams that have been promoted from the Championship the club has not bought 'big names' simply to make it look like we are trying to compete at the highest level. We don't need 'names', we need talented players, hungry to prove themselves and to a man they are doing exactly that.

In truth we had no idea how well they could cope and after the first 4 games it was looking like perhaps we had come too far too soon but once again Lambert has shown his astuteness when it comes to formations and tactics. Yes we got a bit lucky at Liverpool, helped by some incredibly poor shooting by Suarez but the team kept their shape for 90 minutes and never stopped competing as best they could.

I would imagine most City fans are starting to believe we could do better than we thought 2 months ago <ok>
