He's having to adjust to a much better league, played at a much higher tempo and with alot more physicality. Add to that the fact he's been playing in a pretty poor side under no real guidance and I can understand why he's started slowly. I think there's a very good player in there that could well blossom under a decent manager with the correct set up. 70 mill is alot but every player seems to go for a ridiculous price these days so willing to wait and see what happens with him. Fred on the other hand !

England Ladies are playing Latvia Ladies or is it England Women are playing Latvia Women....... anyway an hour gone and England lead 12 - 0, they've had 84% possession, 45 attempts on goal, 19 on target.......... The poor Latvians haven't had a single attempt on goal.........

Is this really any good for the Women's game?

The England Women's game finished 20 - 0....... England had 64 attempts on goal and 30 on target...........

Yes. Excellent. Great shooting practice for England and the Latvians will learn a lot about what they need to do. Come to think of it I know a very fit looking Latvian lady, she'll be expecting a call up for their next game.

According to Beeb text Everton fans have been shown on TV heading home after only 25 minutes against Liverpool, who lead 2-0.............

There's also been games stopped at Watford and Southampton for medical emergencies in the crowd........

I reckon Messi wouldn’t be as good as Salah & Co if he played in the PL. He’s good but no as good.

Pickford has always played well for England, but looks ordinary for Everton.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s very good but l tend to think the PL is the highest level to play at, hence my reasoning on Messi playing against a lessor standard of players, which makes look probably better than he is. Truth is, we will never know.

Maybe l’m just bias towards the PL.
