We'll sign a couple of frees and loans on the last day of the window. FSG's value will still be increasing exponentially, and the Red Sox will get all the money from last summer's rights issue. All is good.
So out of curiosity... Mbappe on £400k + p/w or Salah on that... No way FSG would sanction both (maybe not even one)... But would any of you actually give up Salah to get Mbappe? M-bap-pe is obviously younger than Salah and has a bright future, but... Salah already at that peak and one of the worst best and a proven fit for our team. Also, Salah is a decent bloke... Mcobpe is a bit of a twat. I suspect most of you would pick Salah, but would any of you give up Salah to get Mbappe?
I'd pick Salah. He's earned a big pay rise and I'd far rather that than a new player coming in on a big wage based on reputation.
First mbappe wont come for 400k. He is head for 600-750k a week at real. Second this is a business decision. Salah has zero resale value. Salah has a massive fan base in africa. Mbappe would be sold for 250mil in 3 years time to real. Which one makes more image rights money for lfc/fsg globally? One will be in the 2022 world cup final if france get it together. One wont. Third it's still a sporting decision. I have not seen the same level of want and desire in mbappe to be a historic player. Salah desperately wants recognition and would drag us along. Salah is also currently bullet proof. So if I were a man utd executive I'd buy mbappe and suffer it for 5 years, having too big an ego to sell in time and ending up seeing him leave on a free after making the glaziers a fortune. If I were lfc executive I'd have sold salah and played kaide gordan and sold lfc fans a story that salah wanted to leave all along
His contract is til 2024 so there's absolute zero chance Chelsea sell to us. It's his agent/camp stirring cos they are angry about limited chances. My message to them would be that they made their bed with the oil money can can lay in it now
Today's rumours focus on Liverpool being cheap ****s and chasing two almost out of contract midfielders brosovic from inter Milan or zakaria from borussia munchers (both defensive types) Also linked again but is more costly (no doubt it worked before and his agent thinks it will work again) is isak who is at real sociadad and looking for another move.
Same as gerrard, theres o upside to the psg job is there? Tuchel couldnt get them to defend cos the indulged to amazing to defend front players wouldn't do a thing. In credit at all for winning domestic trophies and only a cl will do. Frankly if the psg job has repaired some rep after spurs debacle then get the ****.out imo.
anyone can demand anything. in case he's missed it he will be 30 in april and will be out of contract in 2023 at age 31. If he thinks he will get silly money of psg no problem. Both players need to realise that if they want to move they can as they are in thier last contract scenario. LFC needs to prepare for the future here not end up saddled with wages no matter how good the pair are. I've said it for a while now that we didn't need CMS we needed forwards and LFC have left orgigi and minamino in there when they are clearly not up to it. Jota has don'e brilliantly thus far. He's a presser and a box player not a mane style player. LFC need to buy here.
There were some murmurings about Raphinha so I wouldn't be completely surprised if we some traction in January. Fabinho and Deco (agent) had said we were very interested in signing him in the summer but a deal couldn't be made.
Imo lfc are on the cusp of a new team. We are looking at a group that's really only good for this season and needing to be going into next season with new faces added or accept falling down the league. I have no issue saying it about the front 3. They are in decent form but are also all aging and 2 want big money. The club has to show its mettle there but also be ready. Jota is a good start but no pace there and pace is so important. 2 forwards needed imo in the next two windows. 3 cms needed over next 3 windows to replace milner, henderson and keita/ox Back line is good. Keeper is good. 5 big money signings in the 40-50mil range is 250mil. The only way that works is if we sell mane and salah
Sadio Mané makes Liverpool contract demand as Mohamed Salah makes striker 'want to cry' Media Digest: Sadio Mané's demands for a new Liverpool contract have been outlined, Mohamed Salah has been praised, and Raheem Sterling wants out at Man City. Sadio Mané makes Liverpool contract demand as Mohamed Salah makes striker 'want to cry' - Liverpool.com
if you actually follow this through..... this is absolutely nothing. liverpool.com is a site aping off our own official site having grabbed the .com name. all it does is take links to other stuff and rehash them. in this case the sole link on mane goes back to gola.com but it is an review of the arsenal game where a couple sentences at the end deal with manes contract and merely state his agent is less vocal than salah's. there is literally nothing about any wage demands so the Liveprool.com article title and content is click bait 100% title: Sadio Mané makes Liverpool contract demand as Mohamed Salah makes striker 'want to cry' Liverpool forward Mané wants to be recognised as one of the Reds' star men if he signs a new deal at Anfield, according to Goal. goal.com headline: Liverpool's 'other' contract dilemma: Mane's situation needs sorting, just like Salah's Content: There is an elephant in the room here. For months we have talked and wondered and written about Salah’s contract situation, and whether Liverpool will offer a big-money extension. And yet Mane is in pretty much the same position; 29 years old and about to enter the final 18 months of his current deal. He too would like to remain on Merseyside, and he too would like recognition for years of stellar service, and a salary befitting one of the world’s top players. Sure, his agent is a little less ‘active’ on social media than Salah’s, and sure, his form has been patchier than his Egyptian counterpart over the past 12 months - whose form hasn’t? - but it is surprising, to say the least, that more has not been made of Mane’s contract status. Like Salah’s, it needs sorting soon. In short the guy who write his match reive won goal.com made an opinion peice commenting on Mane. He offered nothing to suggest he had knowledge mane asked for anyhting. the Liverpool.com guys grabbed it, grossly exaggerated it to get a click bait title and refered to the original quote like it was fact but in total it was a couple lines in their article. IMo this is why people should really pay little attention to the interwebs stories. If an agent or player directly speaks then listen.
