My personal view is that this thread has lead to a marked decline in standards. There's far to much personal abuse which is detrimental to debating, if we could reset and go back to how things were when I joined the forum then that shouldn't take anything away from any posters freedom of expression.

It seemed a healthy debate with both sides putting their respective views in a fair and reasonable manner

until it didn't go my way

If so thank fck for that, you do seem to have a decent level of intelligence but there again I cannot abide educated idiots.

Unfortunately not. Due to recent events I find myself compelled to make myself available on this thread on a permanent basis.

Which news organisation had a film crew embedded in his defence team, which media company is going to interview him on Monday evening? (US Time) Other organisations appear, from what I've read to be reporting that he was acquitted and that some people aren't happy with that. Both of these bits of information, as far as know, are true.

And many of them reported pre trial that he crossed state lines illegally, with an illegal weapon, was a white supremacist etc etc etc (including his own president) all of which were demonstrably false.

And IF he had been found guilty, well the obvious headline would have been...."white supremacist Kyle Rittenhouse guilty on all charges".........the media are the drivers

No news organisation was embedded into either of the teams. The one that crossed the line was MSNBC who tailed the jury bus.
The narrative from especially MSNBC but also CNN was disgusting. Not only rushing to judgement but also, since the verdict, they have painted it as a miscarriage which is why those who only get their news from those sites have such a twisted view.
The protests had a racial slant for some reason. This was a white kid who shot 3 white men during a protest. What the protest was about was irrelevant so why are BLM aggravated.
I've heard the ridiculous argument that it's racial because a black man who did the same thing would have been convicted. That's nonsense.

Bill Maher is a Democrat and here he sums up the problem with the Democratic Party.

It's the same for Labour over here. They need to reconnect to working class Brits. The votes they get in the urban playground will never be larger than the votes they used to get in their heartland.

A J Coffee was found not guilty on the same day as Rittenhouse. He shot at Deputies raiding his father's house. His girlfriend was killed in the crossfire and a Deputy was injured. Upon searching the house they found drugs and he was a convicted felon who should not have had a gun.
The State didn't prove that he was not defending himself under the State's Stand Your Ground law.
You probably haven't heard about this as it doesn't fit the narrative.
I'm going to imagine some people saying
"Yes, but....."
