No, he was a vigilante and he was walked down the street waving a semi automatic around, he was seen as an ‘active shooter’ and people tried to take him down. The people he shot were white.

I haven't followed the case. Honest question. Did he break any laws? It would appear not as he was found to be innocent.

We are probably back into American gun law territory again. Only in America!

He shot 2 people dead and severely wounded a 3rd, so yeah he probably did break some laws like, given he’d travelled to the place of the demonstration off his own back. it wasn’t even his gun and he got off with carrying this automatic fire arm aged 17 on some technicality relating to hunting. ‘Merican gun lobby though, yeeeeahhhhaaaaa

I’m guilty as in I saw him on the news and thought he looks guilty, he’s a lucky man (without hearing a shred of evidence one way or the other) so reading a few replies while keeping up with this thread this morning has been educational.

I’ve got to admit I don’t really care to knowing the truth about him so I’ll not be researching any facts, I’ve gone from guilty to sitting on the fence over being “lucky”. He still sounds like a nut job

The shootings took place during a night of protests over police violence against Black people in the tumultuous summer of 2020. It brings back scenes of violence, theft, looting and other very naughty behaviour! The President was missing a trick by not announcing a shoot on sight or 24 hr purge on the looters. It could have saved a lot of tax payers money by cleaning up the streets.

Rittenhouse was just defending himself. The two people got what was coming to them.

Nope, Rittenhouse got his mother to drive him there, he didn’t even live there, he had no place there, he tuned up like some dickhead vigilante waving a semi automatic around and was viewed as an ‘active shooter’ by those who tried to approach and apprehend him, who he then shot. The 3 people he shot were white btw.

Well DL it pains me to say this to a fellow Leeds fan BUT you are a toss pot aren’t you, encouraging a ****er ….. a fkg outside ****er at that, well it has pained me but it had to be said.

Oh no ! Please Infidel, what can I do to make it up to you ? I can’t live without you :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Did you watch the trial or just the coverage on the MSM? He was asked to go there.
His father lives in Kenosha.
He was legally carrying the gun, it was not a technicality, as said by the Prosecution.
He wasn't waving a gun about.
All the people who were shot were deemed to be attacking him so it was self defence.
He was tried and found not guilty.
How do you want justice done?

If you think that justice has been done there you’re ****ing in the head imo, sorry.

I knew they were white. I wanted to see if you assumed they were black so I could correct you!!!! He had been hired as security to protect a car lot from being looted, and after he shot the first guy, **** himself and did a runner, and they chased him down.

As Jeremy Clarkson would say
Here’s what I think
Ritterhouse had no legitimate reason to be there armed with a semi automatic weapon he was a young kid hiding behind big weapon he put himself in a position of danger and panicked
Don’t believe in vigilante groups of any persuasion the law is there for a reason Unfortunately we are talking about the Wild West of America and as long as everyone who wants is allowed to carry any weapon they want things like this will continue to happen
That’s my final answer

No one will ever change their mind by reading posts on a football forum and nor should they, but I've read posts on here that have caused me to read up on things I didn't know about.
Because it's an open thread you can post pretty much anything and get an opinion.
The problem is that, like it has become in the Western World, politics has become insanely polarised.
One side doesn't want to listen to the other because they just don't understand.
The problem on here is that it's gone past discussion and into vitriol.
The visitors from the PL board, in my opinion, had an agenda to wind up the "knuckle draggers on the Leeds board" so the past week it's been just lots of huge arguments.
Regular posters have joined in and it's just been pages of insults and rubbish.
I hope it improves but....

You’re right, there are certain people on here who just don’t want to hear the other side of any argument and just resort to swearing and name calling because they are as thick as ****. Frankly I find it hilarious, unfortunately I seem to be spending more time on here than I’d like, but so be it.

It's addictive isn't it dirts......attracts all sorts and all having a say, whether you agree with anyone is up to the individual wouldn't call anyone as thick as **** just on the basis of what they post really, maybe a difference of opinion is better.
I also find it quite funny people are questioning the jury decision, what do they want instead?

No, this is the little arseh*le that went armed to a demonstration and demonstrated how he could shoot people and then get away with it. Typical yankee thinking. "I'll take my gun in case there's a chance to shoot someone."
Fair enough just asking. No guns in aussieland

The funniest thing is certain people on here thinking this is “their” thread and maoning when “outsiders” come on ruining their little **** fest.
