Judges are selected by the federal government, in this case he was a democrat nominee. It cannot be appealed as the judge dismissed the case 'with prejudice'.
"Lefties', 'racist', Getting your words mixed, Forza. Try to remember it's the lefties that are supporting BLM, the bastards.
Read that again, Forza, and then say " makes no odds to me". Doesn't really work, does it. Sorry, mate, but it is your post.
Wind them up? Something needs to be done, they're pretty flat at the moment. Still, I shall flagellate myself by watching n supporting them. Depressing, eh?
Have spent a while reading the last four or five pages on here. Reminds me of my childhood when I was at primary school, listening to the little girls bitching to each other about the other girls behind teacher's back. All the nasty little digs at each other and sly sniping. Quite funny, in parts.
Was this the young lad defending property but because he was white and shot a dark **** he was wrong.
I just don't see a place in a democratic society for vigilantes. I understand the "he was protecting himself" argument but walking into another town with an automatic assault rifle can't be lawful, or perhaps it is in the USA, that's what I was getting at. If there was a demonstration in Brisbane, of any political persuasion, and I stood outside the Pig N Whistle with a loaded shotgun, merely to protect the beer, I suspect I wouldn't be standing there very long.
No, this is the little arseh*le that went armed to a demonstration and demonstrated how he could shoot people and then get away with it. Typical yankee thinking. "I'll take my gun in case there's a chance to shoot someone."
I don’t like this thread, I pop in and out trying to keep half an eye on it or I’m here when a racial complaint has been made and the supermods get involved as it was missed. I can log out at 10pm and by 6:30am the following morning the thread can jump by 4-5 pages so obviously not everyone shares my dislike, people like posting in here, some for the banter, some as they’ve a bone to pick with someone else. The subject matter is always going to be divisive so we just try to keep it in one place. Just this week, the Spurs match thread shows how easily dislike, unrest and bitterness towards one another can spill over, we don’t want that creeping into every thread. I think it’s a humongous shame that anyone leaves this forum because of something another supporter has said. Surely it’s easy to avoid one clearly title descriptive thread (and having it all contained in one place) than spilling over into several posts. If people have left because of this thread, they’d have still left anyway as the content within would have been posted, discussed, mentioned, argued about somewhere else. It’s the members who start subjects off. I do get where you’re coming from, I’m just giving a reason. I can understand someone being curious, looking in and being offended thinking “I wish I hadn’t” but joining in a with an opposing view then being offended at replies, well the warnings are there loud and clear. This thread has never been stickied to the top yet it’s remained on page one for just over 4 years. If nobody posts a reply it would drop down and vanish. If people are offended just don’t come in, avoid the thread.
