Just to let you guys know..if you can bbc scotland there is a great documentary on later about the hermit of treig. An old man living off grid by a loch up here. Miles from anyone..he is a living legend up here and will be well worth a watch I think.
Is this Ken Smith? He's been all over the news today, been reading about him. Had to laugh that his emergency distress beacon thing alerts someone in Houston US and they get Scottish rescue out!
Bbc sounds have a Scottish produced podcast called 'sacked in the morning'. Binged it yesterday. Highly recommend.
Just about half way through it now, it’s excellent, it was also a bit of a shock when he first spoke with a northern English accent. Great recommendation
It might not be for everyone, but I found it magical and so brilliantly shot. I encourage everyone to watch it, its highly though provoking.
It was very good, I'd spotted the article on the BBC site earlier in the day, as fascinating as it was, it was his sense of not fearing his own mortality and lack of worries that struck me. The documentary maker also seems an 'individual' as well.
