Starmer absolutely savaged Johnson this afternoon in the Commons. The Prime Minister couldn't attend due to a 'long-standing' commitment in Newcastle and the rail timetables are such that he couldn't get back in time. Last week he got a private jet back to London from COP26 in Glasgow so that he could attend a piss-up at the Garrick Club.

Johnson gave a pool interview today and was asked to comment on the fact that the last 16 Tory party chairmen have all been given peerages after each donating at least £3 million to the party (something George Eustice described as a 'coincidence'). He declined, preferring to talk about vaccines.

Webbe was (rightly) kicked out of the Labour party. If she'd been a Tory, Johnson would have tried to change the rules to save her.
She was brought into Parliament by Corbyn, through blind loyalty to him, even though she has low intelligence and ability, and is clearly something of a thug. And now, thanks to Corbyn, we're stuck with her because she's refusing to give up her seat.
I'm sure you're well able to understand the difference between how Starmer handled Webbe and how Johnson handled Paterson, Goldie. No one's defending Webbe. There's no hypocrisy. Yet.
Are you aware that Starmer was going to take a consultancy contract with lawyers Mishcon de Reya until Tories pointed there would be a conflict with his role on Brexit, since the lawyers had acted for Gina Miller? There is no question of any criminal charges against Patterson.

Let’s play a game of guess who is due in front of the committee in the coming months. A) Starmer B) Johnson C) we don’t need a third opinion as the answers b
Was I aware that Starmer didn't take a consultancy contract? No. I see the police have been asked to investigate the cash for peerages scandal. I'd say that if the Covid enquiry identifies corrupt dealing over contracts awarded by the government, the police could be asked to look into those, too. If so, Paterson could well be amongst those facing criminal charges.
