You could do far worse than him imo, like Ole for example. In fact I reckon he’d be your best appointment since SAF left.
Just as Arteta is hoping to use you Ponks ... but life goes on... can't really fault our recruitment on all fronts ...
c'mon he's played 2 of the best teams in the world, he just needs more time. A lot more time #Oleforlife
I'm open minded enough about it tbh. With what he's done at other clubs with less finances, and the style of football. I guess it's just the LFC millstone round his neck. You know the funny thing is, being British is a big plus going for him. I don't know why but there's something about our club that makes me feel no foreign manager can be successful there... or at least build something successful long term. Just something about our club it's something that always remains a doubt with me.
Not sure about brenda. He will have you playing it about but i just can't see him managing the big names. Like a slightly better version of eddie howe and his teams for me lack an actual game plan short of passes to nowhere. Far bigger fan of potter myself.
I watched it on Sky The reason they scored was not just because of the foul on Sarr it was because Danny Rose put the ball into touch so another Watford player who had been taken out by Arsenal could get some treatment The foul on Sarr should have resulted in a booking and not a goal for Arsenal, the Arsenal left back was booked earlier for less of a tackle than the blatant bodycheck that led to their goal, the pundits after the game said Arsenal should have given the ball back to us and failing that we should have been given a free kick for the bodycheck on Sarr King should have taken a touch and got a better angle and could have scored the equaliser I know they had the better of the game but how many more times are we going to be cheated by crap referees Pinky go ride your surfboard upside down
Potter gets all the plaudits but the real genius behind the transformation at Brighton is Dan Ashworth imo, as he has created a club that has a defined method of playing and it goes from the first team to the kids. Potter was played his part like and I think he’s a good manager, but there’s much more to Brighton’s improvement than him.
He's never lost a cup final ... just what we needed having lost 4 FA Cup finals post WWII... would wish him all the best and the £20 million compensation will also help soften the blow ... should he go ... but he's also Citeh's preferred choice to replace Pep, if reports are to be believed ... if so, that's likely to be more appealing to him ...
He did really well to win the FA Cup final but everything else he won was in Scotland, with Celtic, when Rangers had been relegated to the bottom division...don't strike me as a big deal to be fair. And the fact he left to join Leicester says he knew he had to do it somewhere where it would be rated. Think going to United will be difficult cos of the pool connection... if he goes through a difficult time the United fans won't show patience
