Is this based on who they think they can get as their new manager ?

I mean we know this in general due to how they acted in the summer. Just wondered if something knew had come up

This was supposed to be in reply to the lampard to Norwich link

there was a pessimist somewhere who said they expected the new manager to play Gilmour and him to suddenly do really well or something
 
Well, it has been a little surprising Norwich haven’t played Gilmore more than they have, considering they cant buy a win until yesterday, and he is a fairly decent player.

Not sure who said that, but it doesn’t sound overly pessimistic to say it, unless the context was different. Unless you are referring to the one on SWF?

Yep that was probably the one . I forgot that it still went on to say they expected us to win

Perhaps I say pessimist because of who the poster was but again I forget

Yeah I get that a little on there, although that guy isn’t too bad usually for being optimistic.

Yeah i was just about to post this.

Ralph should go see them for their interview, get them all interested and wet in the knickers, agree it all, then tell them he doesn’t like the colour of their kit, and they only offered £25m for JWP, and their new sticker is too injury prone so doesn’t fancy their chances :emoticon-0102-bigsm

If you’re looking at it from a career perspective, it makes sense for him.

Which other PL job with a bigger club with better resources could Ralph leverage himself into from here?

The two 9-0s make him toxic to the truly big clubs but Villa have better facilities, far more financial power and a better squad than us. Plus they’d pay him far more than we ever can.

What’s the alternative? He clings on here with little to no financial support and waits for a takeover, or he runs out of time at some point and gets sacked and his stock falls dramatically.

I wouldn’t write it off.

If I was Villa, Potter would be my no 1 choice .

Am I correct that Ralph is on £6million a year here ?
 
Yeah if Villa really wanted Hassenhuttl I think he would go, not many other steps up he realistically could get
