I see that, I just don't believe that there's such a thing as a 'good' billionaire. People don't become that rich without the exploitation of their workforce.

Musk's staff work ridiculous hours, but they're well rewarded for their time and seem to be happy as a result. Maybe it helps that he lives down the road in a $50k prefab and puts in the same hours as they do. The guy comes across as a clown on Twitter but I think he's doing a lot of good.

Unlike plenty of others I could mention.

Rich enough to ride roughshod over the rules and regulations in building his new factory in Germany, seems to be going with the it's done now so give me consent.

Receives rather a lot of subsidies too, although that seems to be the norm in new green industries.

The richest 19 nations (G20) have subsidised fossil fuels to the tune of $3.3 trillion since 2015.

They don't know any better it's how they have been conditioned over the past few decades .
You don't ever hear the previlidged and elite rounding on their own kind .
I still remember when people out of work and down on their luck where given sympathy by their fellow working class .
Now they have become parihas of the state, the common enemy .
A massive smoke screen that largely blocks out the top level swindling .

The thing with Elon Musk is that he pretends ‘he’s not like the other billionaires’ because he posts memes on Twitter and promotes cryptocurrency. In reality, he’s a scummy arsehole who’s just as bad as Bezos and the other Bond-villain billionaires with high profiles. It’s already been proven that he and Tesla were involved in illegal labour practices by threatening and punishing workers who unionised.

Elon Musk has just launched a Twitter poll, asking his followers to decide if he should sell 10% of his Tesla stock (current value $25b), simply to pay tax on the transaction. He says he will abide by whatever the result, which is currently 55% yes/45% no.

Why on earth would anyone vote no? It's not like there's a loser in the situation!

Many seem to think that him dumping 10% of Tesla stock could cause a crash in the Tesla share price and even a crash across the S&P, which could in turn cause a bigger drop in tax revenues that the amount he’d end up paying.

I'd rather live the life I've got than live under the microscope that wealth or fame brings. Few of us would come out well under that sort of intense scrutiny.

Ultimately, if you live in the UK, you're better off than over 90% of the people in the world, but I don't see many on here offering to redress that.
