Apparently Brands and Rafa don't see eye to eye. The players fell out with Rafa after the last match and Moshiri has voiced his concerns at results and style of play. Not sure how true any of that is, but it's all over social media. People seem to think Rafa is on the verge.
One of Europe's "up and coming" managers. Did a great job by all accounts at tiny Granada and ran his contract down to pursue a new challenge, which didn't arrive before the season started. Whilst it'd be easy to get swept up in a 'sexier' European candidate, his track record looks very Howe-esque so I'd say they're both on a par with each other.
Tobes is back! Rafa's future isn't even up for debate, I'd imagine. Missing key players during this bad run, and Rafa's always got a solid late finish wherever he's been, so I can't imagine he'd go anywhere til at least June.
He’s without the spine of the team and hasn’t been able to spend anything due to FFP. He just needs to keep us up, then the summer will see us enter a new financial year, and he’ll be given the funds required to strengthen.
I would agree, but I think theres a bit of a power struggle going on. I think it will be a case of either Brands goes or Rafa goes. Remember when Rafa came here and basically booted Carr out. I also think his head has been turned.
I think it probably is Howe, sadly. I just think they're really, inexplicably slow at doing anything. They should have agreed on ****ing day zero that they would appoint a Chief Exec instead of carrying on with Charnley to make sure decisions could happen immediately. These delays and lack of expertise have really kicked us in the balls.
To be fair having a new manager on the horizon might lift the spirits and actually have a massive positive impact on the performance against Brighton.
