I'm not really a poet but I thought I would give it a try...

The Green and gold army, to Anfield they come
I'm talking 'bout Norwich, not the Manc scum.
The Canary bird will be singing out loud
but the Liverbird's voice, will drown out their crowd.
From League 1 to the Championship, they were reaching new heights,
Now Delia's canaries are Premier League delights
Her half time speech, some say was a farce
One things for sure, she has a wonderful cookbook.

<laugh>

Well done, sir, a commendable effort <ok>

Just to clear this up once and for all: Norwich City colours are GREEN & YELLOW, but the team are PURE GOLD!

There are two reasons why 'gold' is acceptable on this occasion, 1 :- it's a reference to Newton Heath's colours, and 2 :- the poem scans perfectly using 'gold', not so using 'yellow'!

Nice poem, sir, but I must point out cookbook doesn't rhyme with farce!

<whistle>

ok so we've established two things... 1. norwich wear yellow... nice to know <ok> 2. norwich don't seem to like green and yellow take over in salford some some reason.

should we know anything else?

should we know anything else?

Only that we also think Kenny Dalglish is a wise man.

“I don’t know what other people expect, but I know what we do. We expect as difficult a game against Norwich as Manchester United gave us last week,
Paul Lambert has done a fantastic job there. They are sitting there pretty comfortable in the league in ninth position. They went to Old Trafford and played very well.
I’m sure they will be looking forward to coming here and doing equally well. They’ve done brilliantly.”

Hope he's right and we do ourselves justice.
In Lambert we trust!

I do like Lambert, he's done a fantastic job with you guys and seems a very good manager. I remember seeing him play in the CL final for Dortmund.
