The two last results have shown that we need not fear anyone in this league, show them healthy respect, yes, but fear, no. It is my opinion that West Ham are probably the best team in the league (other than us) and we made them look very ordinary indeed, and they appeared to be more frightened of us than we were of them. I'm not saying that we will dominate against Reading, but I do think that we will probably be the better team and if we take our chances then I think we will win the game...I'm going for a narrow Saints win by one goal, but i'd be more than happy with a draw away from home.
Also feeling a 3-1 win for the Saints. Hammond and Lambo (2) And I expect an ex-saint or someone linked to saints to score against us. Getting the midday train, looking forward to the game. COYR
Young Joseph Mills seems a grounded lad with high praise for The Saints and Adkins: http://www.getbracknell.co.uk/sport...h_mills_has_no_regrets_at_leaving_southampton
Think the defence will have taken a lot of confidence from west ham game, espaecially Joss. This can only be good, just no early slip ups Saints! Think we can win this 2 or 3-1, we're due an away win although Reading are no mugs. Is De Ridder nearer a start, looked good when he came on and unlucky not to get his goal. Any news on Lala?
Going for a 3-1 win for us. Lambert will score at least 1 and more than likely from the spot. I'd be thankful if someone in the know can pm me a link to a stream to the match. TIA
Adkins is hopeful on Lallana's return I believe. Unfortunately for De Ridder, there is fierce competition for winger roles with Chaplow and Guly playing well at the moment and Lallana being.. well, Lallana! Fox has also been pushed on up to left-wing towards the end of recent games aswell. Adkins sometimes utilises De Ridder up front alongside Lambert, but with Connolly on sound at the moment and Guly being played there on occasion - it's a tough crack for De Ridder. I'm sure he'll get his chance, he certainly looks hungry whenever he plays - 10 out of 10 for effort.
Think it will be a draw personally, maybe with Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox Guly Schneiderlin Cork Chaplow Lambert Connolly SUBS: Bart, Martin, Harding, De Ridder, Hammond
Indeed, and its great to have the competition. Its a good thing to have exciting players on the bench!
Would be good to have an away win (it's been some time) but with Reading's drawing ability at home, I'm thinking 1-1
True indeed. Quite unbelievably, we haven't won away since Swindon in the Carling Cup on 30th August! Even longer in the league, not since Ipswich on 16th August! Just goes further to show, how brilliant our home form really is!
Glad our 5 point cushion will prevent us dropping into second before the Reading game...psychological I know but can't accept being off the top.
It's a nice cushion because we can't drop with just one bad result and we are unlikely to have two consecutive off days (fingers firmly crossed).
And West Ham don't play till Monday, so hopefully we've stretched our lead by the time they draw with Brighton.
AGGGHHHHH I am so nervous! I will never be able to go into work again if we lose! I will get so much abuse! COYR
