Took them nearly a min to let the ref know to have a look at it. Can’t have been a clear and obvious if it took that long.

Jammy Goons

Jammy? Villa are the jammy ones in that it’s not 3 or 4-0 to us. They got absolutely walloped that half. They didn’t even have a single attempt.

Worst pen decision I've seen this year.
In the phase of play right before the penalty, Lacazette deliberately backed into a Villa defender when he was trying head the ball away, a clear free kick to Villa but it was either not seen or ignored. The penalty itself was dodgy as, impossible to say who was kicked first, the ball or Lacazette. One of these days an on field referee will go to a monitor and stick to his original decision, or maybe not, they won`t want to make their pal in the studio look a mug will they, no matter how poor the decision is.

Guess who made Danny Ings their fantasy footy captain for this week?

Also, guess who forgot to change their fantasy footy captain for the last 2-3 weeks?

In fairness, I genuinely thought we’d lose today given Dean Smith seemed to have our number <laugh> But, for as well as we’ve played, Villa have been shocking. Made it easy for us.

Highly doubt many teams will play into our hands this way.

I’m not getting carried away…

Villa did get walloped. Arsenal were jammy to get the pen. Can't-be-bothered-to-find-out-who-it-was got the ball first and barely brushed the player, who, after a pause, jumped up and fell over like the last place finisher in a sack race.

While that may be true I’m sure there was an incident a few years back where we played away at Lazio, Spurs fans were attacked by Roma fans. IIRC people got stabbed. One of the few times their fans united, in the name of antisemitism.

Found the article: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/20551222

Roma fans outside the ground, Lazio fans inside.

When it comes to English fans the Italians band together. An Arsenal fan I know got beaten black and blue in Milan when they went there in 2008. They won’t forgive English fans for Heysel.

Did they have a better angle than that, as I can't see how this is given:

I'd also question where the time came from for Lacazette to score the rebound. 51 of 47 minutes...

Just to demonstrate how bent these ****s are, the ref is Craig Pawson.
The same ref who didn't give the White foul on Kane in our match at the Emirates.

I didn't see it until now. The (Arse) penalty is certainly debatable, but I am also not sure about the rules on rebounds. If there really is enough time for one more kick, does the time immediately expire once the kick is taken? What are the actual rules on this?

"I don't care, I'm just paid to blow a whistle occasionally" - the majority of Premier League refs

It's up to the ref. He decides whether more time is appropriate.
