Jones looks absolutely drained. His face is more drawn, black circles under the eyes, the buoyancy on arrival faded.

Welcome to a year working under Mike Ashley <laugh>

I still reckon we'd have started better if we'd had him for pre season assisting. It was terrible for Newcastle for him to go off with England. I understand it in terms of being a great opportunity but I definitely think we've paid a price after to committing to changes after his arrival. Pre season is absolutely critical.

I'm still on fonseca... 2 weeks to organise and move ties in as you'd expect

There's been a lot of noise preaching caution on this - Hope and Graves both saying he's spoken to the club, but they're still investigating. I reckon there's a biggie in the offing. I think the next two games are really, really important. If we get as much as 4 points heading into matches against Brighton, Brentford, Norwich then someone of real intent comes in. Two more defeats and it might be a case of 'look, Fonseca wants it, let's just get some new ideas in'.

I agree mate I stated suspecting they're holding out on an answer , but if that answer of no I expect it'll be fonseca.

I get the impression and I said on here yesterday morning that the leak on fonseca was deliberate and done to say to the other guy 'if you don't want it someone else will take it' a little nudge

I'm agree Martinez helped ruin Everton

Belgium never did much

But from Bruce it's a big step up

I’m sure he could work well in the interim (end of this season? Maybe next?) but is he going to want to leave Belgium a year before the WC?
