I saw that news item on BBC website and wondered to myself how on earth can we stop this racial nonsense that has now become more and more prolific? Morons are regrettably continuing to propagate pure hatred not just about ethnicity but anything that takes their fancy whenever it seems appropriate in their warped minds. Social media is our biggest enemy, in my books, when it comes to unfettered access to a hate filled world and sadly legislation of any kind will never have a chance against the big money of either sport or mega businesses.

Even at my advanced age I see the horror of the campaigns against people and society that abound and the fall out from social media abuse rarely hits the headlines as it should. I wandered off a little there but face to face abuse as highlighted in the news article is becoming more prevalent as we hear on a constant basis and how nice it would be to see all this hatred vanish from our world, but regrettably it never will.

I knew about this incident on the day it occurred because I live locally, my concern and the reason I posted this is because of the unbelievably out of touch response yet again by the FA to charge the the team who walked off in response to the incident.

Just like FIFA and UEFA, the FA talk a good fight and then respond like this, they are a bunch of out of touch old farts and not fit for purpose.

I would agree with you Jiffie because I think a lot of the correct things put out by the authorities to be done are quite often the subject of abuse by the very people who came up with the rules. Several cases of seemingly looking the other way when firm action was required have irked me and one is the Derby County points deduction and another is the takeover at Newcastle. If the F.A. really wanted to get our attention then they need to deal with problems as and when they occur and not just hope they will go away, which just leads to frustration and anger on the part of the abused. Don't even get me going on the farcical FIFA and EUFA who claim to have the best interests of football in their hearts and if a few bungs come their way - then so be it. Money is truly the root of all evil.
