Under EFL rules for every player we bring in we have to get rid of one.

Come on, TC you can do better than that. For a start Roland still owns all the assets, and secondly Andrew Barclay and another investor were willing to buy the whole lot but your darling Roland refused to talk to them. He ain't the kindly benefactor you make ahrt.

Only reason he would not talk to them is that he had already signed an exclusivity agreement with ESI - I know this to be true.
Also, Barclay never ever put his cards on the table - was just a Varney pipedream!!

Honest question - Do you think Saandgard is an upgrade or downgrade from Duchatelet?
Would genuinely be interested to know, as so far all he has done is talked/sang a good game.
You're not comparing like for like. Roland still owns The Valley and Sparrows Lane, and has no intention of letting them go in the foreseeable future. Sandgaard owns nothing, has put a lot of money into the club to save it from at best administration at worst liquidation. What they have in common is that they have trusted the judgement of the wrong people. Roland spotted a bargain when the club and grounds were for sale at £18m, and is determined to make money on it, whereas TS is almost certainly facing substantial losses, despite his belief that he and Roddy are putting the club on a sustainable footing. Roland eventually saw the error of his ways and sacked Katrien, and stopped using Thomas Driesen, and TS has to make some tough calls to reverse his mistakes, and start learning from them.

I'd have to disagree with that DP.

This squad is very poor.

Just look at our play off winning team from 2019 and compare it to the ****e we put out last night. There is no comparison. How many of yesterdays starting 11 would you put in that 2019 team ? And that was just a L1 team. As I said, for me it would just be Leko instead of Parker.

Not saying Adkins hasn't failed, but he can only do so much with the raw materials he has. I don't think JJ is the answer yet and who else would come to us that on paper is better than Adkins ? Plus if we have to pay him anything approaching £500,000 / £1,000,000 to get rid, I'd rather spend that on a decent striker or defender.

I really think that Alex Neil, Garry Monk, Tony Pulis would get much more out of these players. They would get them organised for one thing. It’s all very well saying spend the money on a striker/ defender, but a) Who will come to us? b) we could be stuck firmly in the relegation zone by January. Rick Everett reckons that 425000 pounds is Adkins salary It is usual to pay off a manager one years salary and not his whole contract..

If we pay enough money then anyone would come to us.

Maybe those managers could do better or maybe they couldn't, I don't know and no-one else does for sure either. But what I do know is that the majority of our squad is nowhere near good enough and that is primarily down to TS and his budget and his employment of Roddy.

Again I ask , how many of last night's starting 11 would you put in place of any of our play off winning team ?

The answer to that question shows where the problem is, not whether any journeymen managers could do better than NA.

TS has spent enough money on players like Stockley, DJ, Lavelle and Kirk to keep us out of a relegation dogfight. The question of whether or not another manager could get more ahrt of them will only be answered when NA is put out of his misery. PLayers like Gunter, Matthews Stockley and Famewo have gone backwards, , which suggests to me that better management would improve the mentality, and might also give us a chance of getting the quality of loanees like Millar or Gallagher, of the young LB whose name I forget. It would be interesting to compare our budget to other L1 clubs, I would guess we're above average somewhere, but don't know.

Obviously they are not as good as the squad that got us promoted. I am saying that this squad should not be in a relegation spot.
The point I am making is Adkins is vastly underperforming.
We will see as Adkins has been given his marching orders.

Has he ? Haven’t seen it anywhere yet, but if true, like you say, then we will see.

The longer Sandgaard leaves Adkins in charge, the worse it will get. If he is charge on Saturday and we lose up at Sunderland we could be 7 points adrift in the relegation places. Now is not the time for waiting. Announce he has gone first thing tomorrow morning and we can move forward on from a manager that has been tactically naive this season
