So after a years delay we're about to get started. Shifted to the UAE and Oman conditions are still not favourable for us plus we don't have Stokes or Archer. I still think we can put up a decent showing but I expect India, Pakistan or New Zealand to pip us. Hoping for some lunacy from our big guns especially Livingstone, I really rate this guy and think he's a world beater. That's him finished now lol, jinxed him. Who does anyone fancy and what players are you looking forward to seeing ? Our chances ?

India must be big favourites with their players having just come off the IPL in the UAE.

Livingstone had a poor IPL, but he's an exciting prospect and England's overall batting power could take them to the final.

Player to watch, Sunil Narine.

You wouldn't know it as there's hardly any coverage but Ireland are playing The Netherlands today in what the organisers are saying is a world cup game but is actually a preliminary round robin game to get into the main competition.....
Anyway netherlands currently 59-6 collapsing from 51-2 to 51-6..... not just England eh?

Netherlands 106 all out......

Ireland have struggled recently to chase targets so game still in balance but should be doable by Ireland....

How's to show how little interest there is here that rte only managed to put up a report about the bowling exploits at 1:10 pm, 20 minutes after the Netherlands innings finished....

Sri Lanka 8/3 in 1.4 overs against Ireland.........

Namibia beat The Netherlands earlier.......

Now 54/3 from 7 overs....... 2 poor overs from 4th & 5th bowlers cost 30 runs

Looking a tad ominous now....95/3 off 12 overs....... anything over 150/160 will prove difficult for Ireland to chase
