I banged on and on about getting a new keeper, most people thought the same as me, but puzzlingly a minority thought Burge was ok at our level, clearly they did not know very much about the value of having a good keeper.
What we wanted was a keeper that was better than our level, and it looks like we may have found him

A couple of big saves today. A good goalkeeper wins you points where a **** one costs you them.

Yep agreed and this lad is still a baby in goalkeeping terms.
Great to hear Johnson saying that the lad was annoyed with his kicking, the lad wants to be better and will be.
The young lads will have learned a lot today from playing against Gillingham.
Great experience for them and delighted they’ve stood up to the challenge and prevailed.
Twelve months ago we’d have got beaten heavily. Today we’ve won with a lot of players out injured and as a result a few playing out of position. Add in that we were down to 10 men for a good 20+ minutes and it’s a brilliant three points on a day when all the teams around us won.
Interesting to hear Flanagan talking about the travel/recovery plans.
Well done lads, the management team and KLD.
