That game was played at a really fast pace.

Harry Kane just can't keep up with it.

England had much more threat through Grealish & Foden when they were both on the pitch. The only two players who had energy (and guile).

I didn't watch the game tonight Burnsey, but it was a game of two halves. One half arsed, the other half hearted.

    Am I close?

It was only fast when Hungary had the ball. They moved it quick and they all wanted, and were all happy in possession. We moved it slowly/backwards and one ore two were happy to avoid it.

Rice and Mount would have been just as effective if they sat and watched it from the bench. Kane was even worse than the very ****e Sterling.

The very first words I uttered after we lost the Euro final in summer were, 'not brave enough'. Same tonight but you can add 'not good enough'.

It reminded me of the recent Scotland game debacle?

We go out against some teams as if we're too good to be on the same pitch as them.Disjointed, abject performance that got what it deserved!!

disappointing game, but probably because the hungarians (or "bulgarians" as the commentator called them at one point) made it so. england's inclination to make goal attempts is sad, as if they want to emulate arsenal and only ever score from a maximum of one yard out. shoot, you cretins! or, possibly, shoot the cretins!

i have to go back to not watching them.

    .

Sometimes I watch footballers and think, they don't want to score a goal unless it's a pretty goal. Maybe the prettiest ever.

I'm like Jack Nicholson to Chief in OFOTCN.
'You just have to put the god damned ball, in the god damned basket'.

He was the only one taking them on.
He makes things happen or draws fouls.
He is the closest thing we have to Gazza.
Let's just beg to differ on our opinion of him.

As opposed to the opinions of a bigoted, always negative resident of the UK? (My view of your incisive analysis & commentary). I'm rarely bad tempered you unobservant, misguided, can't take opposing views and use insult as defense. 'Tis sad.

I've also decided that Declan Rice is the new Frank Lampard. Darling of the London press. Looks good when you're 3 - 0 up.
Overrated and hides in the face of adversity.
I'll swear he looked in a position to receive a pass but deliberately moved closer to his marker so it didn't happen on numerous occasions.
Jury is out on Mason Mount :)

To use Souness as a backup to your arguement is laughable.
That pray was one of the dirtiest players to have ever played the game.
I do agree the Earth is round though.

How does 'he was a dirty player ' affect his ability to assess other players?!!?
