Jim White has just fed this rumour saying someone at the club said they wouldn't be surprised if he is in the technical area on Sunday. I still think this depends on how quickly the appoint DOF. We all need to just have a bit of patience.
Rodgers is now 5/2. Favre has gone out as far as 10/1 with some bookmakers, suggesting he's nowhere near contention (have they heard something?). Lot of it is English specialists. McParland, Brown, Michael Edwards. Rodgers would very much fit a bill and is that a PR thing as well? Look at us, we're all about British-ness. I'd be well happy with Brendan as a first appointment. That said, I'd be even happier bringing Edwards in and with the Liverpool connections from Brown, plus the fact Edwards is exiting Anfield this season, it looks distinctly possible.
That would be a really, really odd choice. I don't like the bloke, he has no gravitas. Might as well stick Jamie Redknapp in a dugout. Or Jack Whitehall.
I really have no desire whatsoever for Rodgers to take the job. Footballs nice but he wont be here long term, no chance. Ill support him 200% but it wouldnt of been my choice
