I thought you could only increase your wage bill by a certain amount each year So unless they are 350-500k per week below their current cap (not impossible I guess) they technically can’t sign him That said - we aren’t exactly talking about a guy who plays by the rules here
We need a takeover as much as Newcastle did, but glad it wasn't us (not that it ever would be). Wonder if this might get the buying market moving?
Yeah no chance. Man City didn't instantly sign the best players after they got taken over and Newcastle need to establish themselves as a CL club before the best players sign for them. I'm sure they will throw money at a new manager and some very good signings. The signings they can attract at the moment are probably players like Rice, Neto, Traore, to name a few.
