I don't fancy Colo that much 1v1 vs Adebayor. There's no guarantee Colo would have done much better.

Colo 1v1 with Adebayor made a cracking tackle, then skinned him when he got back up. Granted that was on the halfway line...

Taylors done alright this season, but Coloccini has been outstanding. No defensive errors, and with his composure and passing I don't think theres a better definition of leading from the back in any club in the league.

Don't make me pull out the 606 thread again...

"Here we go again, people not being able to take the fact that some people don't like the argies...

Coloccini will always be a weak link, bottling it against big players and making stupid passes to Enrique along the back instead of just thumping it away! Sol Campbell does a far better job on less that half the wages, that's why i don't like Colo."

Yet more evidence of the idiocy of Tash <laugh>

To be fair there were times when Colo was extemely suspect in the past.

I'm better than Sol Campbell at this moment in time though, and I'm not very good.

This isn't 2008 though, its last season. Plus it includes the line "Here we go again, people not being able to take the fact that some people don't like the argies..." which sums it up for me.

I think Taylor benefits from Colo more than Colo benefits from Taylor to be honest. They've both been great in the most part, bar a few mistakes. But both have put their body on the line for us.

Just Colo over Taylor.

You can say Colo has been better if you wish, but it's really quite stupid to say Taylor has only been "alright"

Taylor has been fantastic so far this season and one of the best CB's in the league so far the same as Colo.

wow you're extremely sad mate, bringing up articles that are almost a year old <doh>

Colo's form has been excellent since the start of 2011, but in my opinion he was average in the CC and not much better at the start of last season.

Ridiculing someone because of their past opinions is stupid.

So should we all criticize people that back then said Jonas' final balls were ****, because now he has improved?

Tosser.

It's still in the past and you had to dig **** up. You're a ****ing tool.

Not only is Colo our best defender we've had in the past decade (yes better than Woodgate), he's one of the most technically gifted players we've had which highlights just how good of a player he is.

That was dragged up in the zeTom thread when loads of 606 posts were pulled up, I reposted because someone asked.

Colo was average in the Championship season? I must have been dreaming when he made team of the season then, and had an actual chant that wasn't just his name repeated by Christmas.

Shefki Kuqi had a chant about him, so does Shola, doesn't make them good.

Anyway, **** the past man.

Colo and Jonas, IMO weren't that great in the past, but over the course of last season and up to the present, they have improved a lot and are now fantastic players in good form.

<doh>

I'm not denying he's made mistakes, but his overall play has been fantastic mate and Colo hasn't been superior to him overall.

Saylor has been better in certain games, Colo has been better in certain games.

Wolves there was no excuse, it was just plain silly, but Spurs, even though he could have done better, Cabaye deserves a lot of the blame for losing the ball and putting Saylor under that sort of pressure.

I don't fancy Colo that much 1v1 vs Adebayor. There's no guarantee Colo would have done much better.

If he tackled with his right foot I'd say there would have been a different outcome,Taylor admitted it himself!
