Surprised Michail Antonio didn't get a call up given his great start for West Ham.

West Ham striker Michail Antonio is set to make his first appearance for Jamaica at the age of 31 in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

He has been named in the Reggae Boyz squad to face Panama in Kingston on Sunday.

Covid travel restrictions will stop him flying to Mexico and Costa Rica for their other qualifiers this month.

Antonio only made himself available for Jamaica this year, having previously sat on the bench for England.

London-born Antonio, who is this season's leading Premier League scorer with four goals in three games so far, was an unused substitute in what was Sam Allardyce's only game in charge of the England team in 2016.

Good for him. If Southgate prefers Bamford over him for whatever reason, he should still take the chance of international football and the possibility of playing in a World Cup. I didn't realise he's 31, I thought he was mid-20s. This is realistically his last chance of playing at a World Cup. He averages a goal every 3 games in the Premier League, which is nowt to be sniffed at.

On Bellingham & Greenwood omissions, Southgate tells Sky that “they are players with a heavy load of games atm. We have to remember these lads are still physically growing. We have to be really careful how we handle them. They’ll be really exciting players for [HASHTAG]#eng[/HASHTAG] in the future”

Bamford's injured apparently.
