Fair enough first goal. they worked is and jones hasn't seen his man run while salah is closing down the passer. thats ok.

however robertson see it and goes out but cocks up his defending. but look inthe middle. zero reaction to their guys in the middle. all the 5 guys who should be defending are on thier heels. they were expecting to play out offside.
goal 2

theres far more errors here than carragher is saying imo. robertson all over the place. matip is more interested in vvds man than anything behind him. one look should tell him is is in awful trouble and to back off.

robertson shoudl have him. Matip is nowhere. Fabinho nowhere. now theres 4 on one t be honest. totally switched off defenders vv is even attracted towards ball.

robertson fails to get closer and lets him have a free cross. matip is running to near post racking nothing. Trents now totally exposed

ball dops and matip has finally woken up too late.

ball hits cross bar. fabinho and vvd have not got on the single guy in the box have they?
he gets a free header.
this is all about attitude and being switched on. Matip was piss poor here imo hes not read aything not looked about and didn't even get central of the gaol. vvd and fabinho have ball watched the entire move.

finally to compound this. Look where matip ends up. miles outside the 6 yard line.
Look at fabinho carging towards the guy heading it rather than letting vvd deal with it. he actually sprints off the line where he would have easily cleared it.
Its a shambles all round of bad desicions and sleepy play.
I won't even bother with the third goal.
what i see is failure to read the game and get good shape and then failure to deal with the most danger. all 3 are asleep.

This is why Brentford are doing so well atm., they push players forward and work hard to overload areasThing is your just looking at 3 screenshots there. Doesn’t properly show the build up and why people are suddenly out of position and how Brentford have more people in certain areas etc.

This was what I was thinking. It's all very well saying Trent has 3 on him with no help, but how often do opponents get that many men round the back stick? Apart from at set-pieces - when we're set up properly to deal with it - it hardly ever happens. This is why Brentford are doing so well atm., they push players forward and work hard to overload areas
He seems to have done a great job with this lotAnyways, what do people think of Frank as a manager? For me, with my somewhat less than comprehensive knowledge of foreign leagues, he's come out of nowhere - but he seems to have some good ideas.
I'm interested to see how far he can take them.

Well, he's Danish - but close enough.Seems like a character as well. Find a lot of managers are rather dull and boring so having a bit of personality really makes them stand out and get some sort of connection with the fans.
Prob helps that he’s German but reminds me of Klopp and TT in that regard.

The look he exchanged with Klopp after another ridiculous goal-mouth scramble was priceless. They look like two men who love football and the entertainment it provides when played that way, despite the tensions and responsibility the game brings.
Mr. Tickle on the other hand, seems a bit dour to me.

Don’t think defence is all over the place at all. They’re all picking up a man. They’re all in their positions and in a nice line. Problem is TAA has 3 men. He needs to be shouting at someone to get back and help. Someone from midfield needs to do a job and either spot it or be told about it and react. Matip is fine, he has a man. He can’t run away from a guy in the middle
of the goal to pick someone up at the back post
Fab doesn’t help. He’s actually infront of a man running back with him but then gets drawn to the ball and leaves that man to run onto Matip, meaning Matip then has 2, picks one up and the spare man drifts onto taa

That was a Baden.Danish taste better than Germans. Right @Nozzer?
Danish tastes like bacon, which is the best, but German's taste the würst.
So TAA is out? Picked up a knock or something? Missed the palace game through illness then plays Saturday now missing Porto.
