I've still got over half a tank unless someone nicks it. <laugh>

Not been anywhere near a petrol station since this shhite kicked-off, but been poorly, so not likely to go anywhere the rest of this week.

Positives of that is I can just sit with my feet up and laugh at all the stupid fookers out there.

There is another option if the petrol stations are out. All you need is someone you hate and a length of tubing. Syphon petrol out of their car.

Some ****ers up here cut the fuel pipes on some charity minibuses used for ferrying round the disabled and elderly. Classy.

Yikes... I was joking with the syphoning... It's really that bad there?

Most cars here now you can easily access the tanks... Mine you just press on the flap and it opens. No need to cut lines... Especially from charity vehicles.

We went through this about 6 months ago... With our shortage the only reason there was a shortage was people stockpiling... There was never actually a major problem. Just a pipe closed for a few days, but enough stock to last normal demand.

I don't mind someone nicking my fuel, it's the damage they do doing it.

Think most modern tanks have got anti siphon devices that can only be bypassed with special machinery these days.

But yeah, nicking fuel <doh>

I dread to think what’s gonna happen when climate change impacts on more and more supply chains and availability of food and goods etc

Maybe... It's not actually something I've tried doing.... I wasn't aware of that. Jackasses who used to do that and made the mesh necessary just made life more difficult for the apocalypse when we have to do that for fuel.

Most modern cars have a mesh in the filler neck to stop siphoning.
