I used to use red for years down here, only ever once saw the DVLA and HMRC road stop where they were dipping tanks. Not sure they’ve got the resources for it these days

but, like you say … they might given the current circumstances

Used to run my old Hilux on veg oil. Did a 70/30 mix of veg oil to diesel in the summer and 50/50 in the winter.

Don’t think those modern common rail Diesel engines like it, but the old school direct injection engines used to run sweet on that ****.
