To think I actually believed he would at least make it to the end of the season. But a month into the season, with this squad at his disposal, he's proved without a shadow of doubt he's not good enough.

Losing to Young Boys in the CL. Losing to West Ham (at home) and getting knocked out of the League Cup. Now losing to Villa (at home again) in the league.

His home record is fcking appalling. I thought last season with empty stadiums it was a blip, but this season is showing it's him, not outside forces.

Guaranteed we won't win anything with him. He has to go now.

I know it's one match.

But, if you focus on today and then realise that a game played concurrently was between two of your main rivals so one or both of those isgoing to drop points, you know that you have to pick up three points.

At home, to Aston Villa. Good side but mid table if truth be told. Neither contenders or relegation candidates.

So you then lose that match!

Solskjaer made two like for like substitutions due to injuries prior to the 80th minute. Dalot for Shaw, Lindelof for Maguire.

It wasn't until the 82nd minute that Cavani came on. Too late, soz.


If the above doesn't tell everyone that Solskjaer is not the man to manage Manchester United and never will be, then ****ing nothing ever will.

This season will be once again wasted, we'll win nothing, and then he'll hopefully be moved along.

You do not lose at home to Aston Villa when two title 'rivals' are playing each other.

The sad thing is (and this has happened countless times before in the past which have masked the mediocrity) he'll be saved because Chelsea and Livpl dropped points today so despite the fact he's lost 3 games on the bounce in 3 separate competitions, because we're level on points with both those sides, he'll escape any criticism.

In fact I dare say some will actually use those results to show "ah it's not just Ole". All context will go out the window. The opposition we've lost to, the number of games in different competitions, the quality of the squad itself. None of it will matter.

I don’t mean to be provocative but you and I and others here know that he won’t be sacked or resign at this moment in time. FFS it’s the first signs of trouble and already some of us here are calling for his head. I remember exactly last year at about this time , we were 14th or thereabouts. And some and the ABU pundits were calling for him to be sacked. And I said then that he may well surprise us. No one could have predicted that we would finish above the RS.

I and others may well call for him to leave if the season is trophyless and unsuccessful. those calling for his head now are apart from the inevitable scumbag pundits like Craig Burley are in a minority. The majority would wait until the season is over and then decide. Another season is not going to make a huge difference.

Wow. To wish for us todo badly and to drop down the table to get him sacked! Absolutely right though in terms of likelihood. Let me tell you that for him to be sacked even then we must be hovering down in the relegation zone by Christmas. The Glazers only priority is the champions league place and the revenue it brings. That’s their role as businessmen and owners.

He’s brought us 2 years of top 4 and CL via the league. Which has proved impossible for so called elite managers like Van Gaal and Mourinho. He may well have reached the limits of his ability and can’t take us to that next step. What’s the point of sacking mid season when we are still within 1 point of the top and competing in the CL? The press and media have ramped up the pressure about winning a trophy. That’s why the league cup has taken some sort of importance which it never had for United. When ever did we cry over elimination from this cup?

Arteta had Arsenal bottom and pointless despite spending the most over the summer. And despite huge clamour for him to be sacked the owners didn’t budge. I can’t see the GGs pulling the trigger for losing a CL match over a suicide back pass in the last minute, a league cup elimination after playing 11 reserves, and a premiership loss at home through Fernandez having a brainstorm in the last kick of the game.

OT itself is not the problem. Teams setup to defend and hit us on a counter when they are away at OT. When they play at home, they open up a little which plays into Ole’s strengths. That’s why we seem to do well against the top sides who also have to play but have mediocre record against lower league sides. It is all in the setup than the home and away factor.

I agree and disagree. A team that only does that is happy to walk away with a point.

Every side that comes to OT now does what you say but also will have a go because they know they can come away with a win. West Ham and Villa showed that. As did pretty much every side that came to OT last few seasons. Like I said, no fear.

We are not defending him to say that there is no point calling for him to go when this is not going to happen until the end of the season. I am being realistic. But even if we lose the next few games he won’t be replaced unless the owners are certain that he can’t but a new manager will get us into CL places.

whoever was our manager and however ****ing **** he was I’ve never wished my team to lose. Even if it meant a higher chance of a new manager. The problem is that I’m old enough to have lived through much worse ****. You have experienced mostly success. I’ve experienced seasons where we have had more defeats than wins including the season we were relegated.
