This is just the best and underlines the total hypocrisy of these 'do as I say, not as I do" total nutbars.

They are damaging their own cause by their actions.
Everyone should care about the planet, but what those tw@s are doing is just plain wrong and won't earn them many friends - apart from those militants who dedicate their lives by attacking others that is............

I am pissed off with hypocrites like him and co leader of XR who still drives a diesel car and does a huge amount of air miles on luxury holidays and Saint Gary Lineker who tweets global warning posts but has recently bought a new gas guzzling car and significantly increased his carbon footprint after signing a TV deal to co host Spanish la liga football.

These people only want the rest of the world to do their bit whilst they do not do theirs.

Problem is, people will get sucked in by all the hype regarding Climate Change, mainly led by large invested companies and the government as it's worth billions and it's a vote puller.
But IMO it's the big corporate companies that have been the cause of the human part of climate change but it will be the rest of us that will pay to put it right.......... & of course the usual nutter's will be out for the cause and most will be total hypocrites.......most of these demo's are a setup IMO..
You are right Jiffie, it will be the case of "Do what I say"...."be ashamed of what you do or use"........"but that doesn't apply to me".!!........
It will be a total hypocrisy through out...

Lock 'em up for a serious amount of time as a deterrent to ensure they lose their jobs etc.
John Kerry - US Presidential Special Envoy For Climate Change is the biggest hypocrite going
He has something like 12 cars, 5 homes, a couple of yachts and a private jet and yet he's telling the American people to save the planet by 'getting the bus'

Yep that is about right from hypocrite like Kerry and others.

Lose their jobs? I mean what sort of job could the bloke in the video possibly have to be able to sit in the middle of the M25?

They should also stop giving people like that idiot Liam (whatever his surname is on the GMTV clip) any airtime too.
He has this deluded idea that the more publicity the organisation gets the more people will join him and his stupid cause. I've seen him on GB News too and is just coming over as a repetitive thick twat.

It's the hypocrisy of it all that boils my piss.

This mob is led by a bloke with an uninsulated house and no double glazing.

One of the leaders of XR still drives a diesel vehicle and has a huge carbon footprint for the air miles she racks up on exotic holidays.

Biden's special envoy on climate John Kerry recently claimed that the earth has about 9 years left to change it's attitude over global warming and everybody has to do more, this is a bloke with 4 homes, at least 7 vehicles and a private jet.

And then at the other end of the spectrum you have Saint Gary Lineker who recently tweeted twice about everybody doing more to combat global warming and had to be reminded, he does not own an electric or hybrid car, in fact had recently and publicly bought a new gas guzzler + had signed a deal to co host Spanish la liga football at a huge increase to his carbon footprint.

And here's the thing, after the Preston game a mate and I walked from the Miners arms on Bedminster Down road to Temple Meads via West street, South street, Southville, the dockside and Redcliffe, how are the people living in terraced houses fronting onto their street or in blocks of flats, possibly going to charge all of their electric/hybrid cars? can you imagine the litigation over people tripping over charging leads across pavements for a start? I for one am wholly intrigued on the solution for that mystery.

I agree, but that is just the tip of the iceberg of known individuals......We will now (already are) be inundated with reports, advertising media crap backed by governments and massive corporates on what we could/should be doing to save the planet, while they go around with their lives as normal......we will be the ones whom are to blame and should feel guilty about it......
About your final point....I agree and not sure how that will be setup..pre paid charging points on the pavements I imagine....I know one thing, with everyone now required to switch from gas etc to heat etc their homes, every vehicle on the road to switch from fuel all over to electric............the grid will not cope and we will be the ones to pay in the long run to help solve the issues..

Putting pre paid charging units on pavements will never work, for the overloading of the grid to the space on some pavements, but then there are tower blocks, how will that work and then charging at work etc. and some charging companies already charge £20 per charge.

Public transport is not good enough, for instance on Saturday FFS for 12 hours Paddington railway station is being closed and also the railway junctions into South Wales at the same time and then as they open, the line between Bristol and Bath is being closed for 12 hours into Sunday (that line was closed for about a month in August) it is all for signalling upgrades, a very worthy and essential matter of course, I cannot imagine that this is something that has just occurred, why couldn't it have been done during lockdown?

A colleague of mine who sells Smart Tech and AI had a meeting recently with a top scientist / engineer in the field. He said that won't be a problem, you won't have home charging. When you get home from work your car will take itself for charging and come back ready for work the next morning, this in the next 5 years or so. Not saying I agree before you jump on me but it does put a different perspective on the way things could change
