We all have pressures in life, but what is pressure??We listen and watch Bruce talk about the pressure he is under to produce results, but is that anything compared to most of us,who have pressure all the time to bring-up a family and pay all our bills etc. on the minimum wage!!How can anyone on over 50 grand per week be under pressure??Missing paying a bill is pressure, but missing a penalty is not pressure...just careless. Is it not time that sportsmen realised what privileged positions they have ??If,and when,Bruce gets sacked,he will get a fortune for being a failure. What pressure is there in that??Thoughts, lads and lasses, please.
Its not a bad pressure when you can bugger off to your Villa in Portugal and you know the sack will bring with it a massive pay off.
Pressure for me now is signing a requisition or purchase order for £30,000+ worth of kit or steelwork you've designed, with the clear knowledge that if you get it wrong your out the door. Do it 2 or 3 times a week and you either thrive on it or you go home a nervous wreck. I've also been in the position of having basically **** all, surviving on pennies each week and I know which of the two positions I've been in is the worst. Players and managers don't know what pressure is, if they 'fail' at one club, they've either got enough in the bank not to care, get a huge payoff or land another mega money contract with another club. Makes the blood boil when they chunter about pressure.
Pressure is getting an E in a physics module and retaking it in January having completely forgotten basic scientific principles
I want Bruce's pressure. Truly I do. We know who to pick. How much is he on? Bugger. I'll shut up. Sounding old and bitter. x
Cant see a Bruce thread but wanted to share this http://stevebruceblames.tumblr.com/ Had a good laugh about it on our board, thought you might like it.
The only pressure Bruce feels is the weight of Bull **** that falls out of his mouth on to his feet! ******!
Has Bruce actually come out and said he is under pressure somewhere? If so then he is admitting the job is to big for him.
Pressure is helping your son tidy up the structure, grammar and spelling of his masters project literature review until 2am in the morning, and all day today, cos it is due Friday at 5pm and he didn't tell me till 8pm last night! I thought it was due with his project in April. Gah! Yes, football players and managers have pressure on them but it does not compare with the pressure of everyday life that 99% of the population have to put up with. That is why I think fans are less patient and less forgiving these days because, like we were saying on a thread yesterday, the people in the game have lost touch with the 'common' man/woman.
Pressure is for tyres Do you know of any poor manager or player in the English Premier League now get out there on Saturday and get us 3 points
