Proof that quality always trumps quantity... JA606 has become a bit of a joke. I liked it from the off but it has now turned into a smiley fest with very few serious footballing conversations going on. Yes its entire page tends to be made up of fresh topics but when you look within, personally I get a few posts into it and press the back button. Sorry, i just thought i'd share that with you. I am sure you'll all agree anyway seeing as you post on Not606. Coys
I do agree, but please don't link articles from the Spurs board to General Chat, ASC. It's not a good idea. Trust me.
Afternoon, ASC. When you created the thread, you selected General Chat as one of the boards to post it on. That's basically an invitation for a load of nutcases to post a ton of ****e on here! I fixed it, but I've already had to delete 9 comments, so I'm sure you'll understand why I'd prefer it if you didn't do it with future threads. Ta.
Apologies, I know what you mean now and it also explains why some idiot posted a picture of Ian Huntley moments after posting the article. Thanks for the heads up fellas.
The set up of not606 was always going to encourage decent debate. Article are kept up by the interest shown by posters rather than the old 606 method of latest at the top. ja606 just reproduced all the 606 shortcomings and with a sizable chunk of the more thoughtfull posters not useing it, because they are on here, it was always going to end up as a sound bite fest. As time goes by (que the song) I think we will slowly attract more posters as the reality kicks in.
Plus the handy ability to link articles to Newsnow will bring in new victi... er, I mean contributors.
The GC crossovers today have been pretty funny mind. Rangers and Liverpool was pretty good as well. from a distance of course. ahem.
I didn't see the initial problem with that article SW6, but then at least one Rangers fan really lowered the tone and started going on about Heysel and Hillsborough. Really unnecessary, especially as the Liverpool fans weren't the ones WUMing.
