I would present an argument that its the way we play.. If you're being forced to do 100m sprints you get more tired than playing football.

It's also why we get lots of muscle injuries
You are right - non-possession football is both mentally and physically more draining. You are continually chasing and having to try and anticipate what the opposition are going to instead of controlling your own destiny with the ball. I suspect that mental tiredness is what is leading to quite a lot of late goals conceded.

I was actually very unimpressed with Leeds when I watched them play Man Utd. Man Utd actually had a relatively weak side out that day. Leeds made a lot of errors trying to play the ball out from the back and with careless balls in midfield.

Unfortunately :emoticon-0100-smile the best way to take advantage of that is by pressing high up the pitch and its not really our forte.

You're spot on and this kind of thing is exactly the issue with Bruce. I'm all for criticism and questioning him around things like this

I'm not winning many freinds in here, but I really would like to see Bruce gone.

I just don't see any point in the ott not picking down the wrong holes.

I don't know why you think you will be losing any friends by saying you want Bruce gone.

I am sure even your nemeses @Darren Peacock's Ponytail and @Ben 10 are warming to you with that comment.

We had 6 points from the same fixtures last season

The sides are different every year and you play them at different times under different circumstances.

I just think it's more than possible that nufc can get 4 to 6 points in the next 12 days and the club will be sitting around where you'd expect

You also said you don't want a new manager because it'll be someone useless

Correct that's exactly my position.

What I'd like is seperate to what I think will happen.

I've concluded it'll be another taty like Wilder. I've also concluded nufc is in trouble, so I've started attending games again because my issue is with the premier league... Not Ashley and not Bruce.

If we stay up we might get rid so it's time to go and I've always said if I go Im supporting the club, the manager and the players...

That's it

I reckon we take something from this. There was plenty to build on from the first half at Old Trafford. Woodman needs to dust himself off and come back strong in this one.

2-1 to Newcastle

Woodman won't play... He's been poor.. Even he knows it.

He's not ready.

Bruce through him under the bus too

Nah he's been ok. He was just poor at Old Trafford. Very poor. If the plan is to simply **** off young players off after one bad game, I suggest we just scrap the youth system now. If that is our attitude we are a bunch of morons. Which would be in keeping with how Mike has run things in general.

Has he made a save recently?

Darlow did better that's for sure and imo deserves a shot

Yes he has made saves in the opening games.

I think we should be more worried about the defending than our goalkeeper. Some of the defending this season hasn't even been schoolyard level.

He's quite clearly not ready and people are making excuses for him.

Bruce is picking the wrong defenders though.

He is quite clearly ready when you judge him on his time at Swansea and his first 3 games this season when he did nothing wrong. People are simply jumping off the deep again because of Man U (which was really bad). To not even have the opportunity to bounce back from it would be shocking on our part.

But I fully expect a man of Bruce's ability to drop him. Its the easy weak persons route.
